It is all good.
One of the things that I have been asked a lot lately: do you like traveling so much?
My answer: I am always ready to go where I am going, and then I always ready to come home.
Seeing the sign for the final leg of my flight tends to make me feel pretty darn happy. Coming home to the boys can sometimes be a bit overwhelming depending on what is happening around here and what my to-do list looks like. Yesterday was all good (except for one piece of missing luggage that I am hoping will arrive today).
The boys picked me up at the airport and we headed home to hang out. Simon and I took a nap together. We went grocery shopping. Chris and I had spaghetti and wine for dinner. We all went to bed around 9:30pm. All those normal, great things that I miss out on when I am away working.
It is good to be home.
And it was good to be in Indianapolis.
Loved, loved, loved staying with Candi. Meeting Jennifer (Candi's neighbor). Meeting a bunch of amazingly creative women at all three Scrapbook Xanadu stores. Being inspired by them and their stories and photos and spirits. Finding lots of cool products I just had to have (which are in the bag I am missing). Thanks Mary for bringing me to your part of the country and introducing me to so many wonderful women.
So like I said, it is all good.
Hoping to get back into my Christmas Art Journal today. Have some work to do, things to organize, Christmas spirit to cultivate.
And, Andrea Wiebe - thank you - please email me again!
I am always so glad to get to that last leg of a trip too...even if the trip had been fabulous. Looking forward to seeing more of your art journal:)

Glad you made it home to be with your family.
I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration. I was in the Friday morning class at Xanadu and it was great. You have helped me get over my fear of patterned paper (I always loved to buy it but have been afraid of over-doing it)! I am so proud of my perspectives album, and I used your design to create an 8x8 album about the 2005 holiday season. I am looking forward to your next book!
Thanks again for traveling to Indy to share your amazing designs with us. It was great to meet you. You rock!

Dang Ali how many pieces of luggage can they lose for you? Is it the same airline as before? Let us know so we don't fly that airline ;)

Sort of a weird comment - but that looks like a flight sign from DIA. I live in Denver and it (the sign) caught my eye.
Anyway I think you're an amazing scrapper and hope to take a class from you someday.

Hey Ali, just wanted to say thanks for making the trip to Indy. I was in the Perspectives class on Saturday and I work at Xanadu. We were all so excited to have you here to teach some classes. I am looking forward to finishing my album... my very first album about myself. Thanks for being such a great inspiration!
