Cool storage & a call to life artists.

Target

Being the bunny this morning at Target and came across these cool little bins in the dollar section. A great little open storage solution for whatever kind of stuff you may just happen to have in your home or office. I think I may also use them as a home for inks & tools during my workshops. Gotta love the lure of the dollar spot.

I started a photo album over on the right to feature life artists wearing goods from my Cafe Press shop. Take a photo of yourself and send it to me and I will add it to the album. Thanks for the cool idea Kimberly.

Love this.

In the comments yesterday Nancy asked a couple questions about photography and my camera. I mainly shoot with a Canon Digital Rebel that I adore. Great camera. Perfect for me. The lens that I pretty much have on there full time is the Canon 50 mm. For travel (when the big camera is just too bulky), I have been using the Canon Powershot SD500. It is a great little camera - the main downfall is that you have to be really careful to keep it steady. I love that it fits in my pocket.

For the shots of my hands yesterday I did hold the camera in my left hand to take pictures of my right. No flash. Always have it off. I am a flash off girl. As for photography education, I took one class from our local community college - I think I have learned most simply from observing the shots that others have taken. People like Tara and Jamie Waters so many other awesome scrapbook photographers. And I take a lot of pictures. The more you take the more you see what you love.

I shoot in automatic - not enough room in my brain to learn manual techniques right now. And I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 for my photo editing. That version is the professional one which is way more than most people need. Adobe Photoshop Elements 4 isgreat (and significantly less expensive) for what most people want/need to do.

Along the same lines, Annie asked about my printer. I use an Epson Stylus Photo 1280. This is a wide format printer (meaning you can run a 12x12 sheet through it) and I love it. Looks like there is a $100 rebate on that one right now too. I have had this printer for a couple years now and love it.

And thanks for all the heads up emails on the adhesive. I think I will be stocked for years now!

Hope you all have a lovely Easter. We get to meet up with my brother and pregnant sister-in-law and I am so excited to see them. It has been too long.

Peace to you and yours!
