Reminisce and this and that.

Hey look!

There I am.

Feeling better today. Moving along. One foot in front of the other. Organizing myself and feeling so very happy that I don't have to go anywhere for a couple of weeks (except maybe to see family on Easter and such, but that is all good).

My new fried Robyn (I have been trying to email you and they keep getting returned) took some fun pics like this one last weekend. She was my helper - and man was she a good helper. Totally on top of everything.

If you are anywhere in the vicinity of Reminisce (Iowa City/Coralville area) you have to go check them out. Seriously amazing selection. Big classroom. You could spend a couple hours in there easy just looking through all their cool displays. One thing that is cool about the owners, Andria and Matt, is that they are running both a retail and a manufacturing company. They see things from both ends and run a really good business. Very professional. And fun. Went to this place (I think it was called Wig & Pen) for pizza and beer on Saturday night - you know you have my for good if you take me out for pizza and beer.

Here is a shot of me and Andria:

Andria

Notice not only the trucker hat, but the "cornfed" shirt as well. I mentioned something at CKU-A Chicago about Iowa being all corn (nice generalization huh?) and they found this awesome shirt for me. So totally all about that shirt.

The girls in the store were awesome - Andria ordered in some of my Life Artist buttons for the staff to wear. Loved seeing those things in action. And the shirts - lots of people popping up in Life Artist shirts. So, so cool.

Here is my super helper Robyn:

And one of me chilling at the table probably reminding Claudia that whatever it was, it is ok.

So many nice people. I really love that part of my job. The one on one connection. And love when guys attend the workshops as well - Steve, you are awesome. I love that you and your wife have found a hobby you can do together. Thanks for coming!

And you may be wondering about my first photo, the "it's all good" sign. HOW COOL IS THAT? That wonderful gift came from Darci, Jenny and Janet - three very talented scrapbookers who went the distance in all three classes last weekend. I am seriously in love with this sign.

Also wanted to share a very cool song that Darci told me about in an email today. The song is called Dream Big by Ryan Shupe and The Rubberband. Love this song. Love the lyrics. Love the entire sentiment.

Thanks again to all the students in Iowa. Thanks for making the trek from other places. For playing and letting go. For laughing at my jokes. For all the kind words.

And I just saw this and had to come back and post: serious inspiration

How totally cool the sign looks in your studio! What fun to see it there. Hope it didn't give you too much trouble with the airport metal detector! Thank you so much for all the inspiration and laughs. We'd love to have you back in Iowa sometime. Had a great time just being with you. :-) Janet

yeah..so that Welcome Ali Edwards sign is seriously cool. What a trip! Also loving the cornfed shirt. What you should *really* do, though, after a break, of course, is bring yourself EAST. Way east. Well, New England. Not like China or anything. Or is that actually West? hmm....

Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband...so cool that you heard that song. They are from the town I live in and my hubby used to be in a band that played with RSB back in our college days. That song is my fave of theirs. Wow, now I *know* you are cool. As if I needed any more proof.

Love the hat. I can ask Dad if you can borrow his John Deere suspenders-if you want. I agree with Alison-come EAST to New England. You are such an inspiration and yet so real.
