AEzine Challenge : Creative Confidence

This week I want you to create something that celebrates your own creativity. Even if it is simply writing the statement "I am creative" and sticking it on your mirror that is excellent. If you want to take it a step further put together a layout titled "I am creative" and talk about how you feel about your level of creative confidence. This is not a layout you have to share if you don't want - but sometimes letting our fears out in the open is the first and best step in overcoming them.

Looking forward to checking out your links & comments about creative confidence later tonight - it is morning here in Tokyo right now - getting ready for another day of classes. Thanks again for taking on the challenge and believing in the power of your own creativity.

Great topic, Ali. I've struggled with my creative confidence for...well, since I started doing anything creative! I recently started my own blog as a way to share my layouts and connect with other people. And, funny enough, I made my blog title "I am a creative girl". That was a little over a week ago - and then your challenge came up with the same theme. I wasn't able to create a layout this week for it, but I just wanted to say "thanks". We all need a little reminding once in a while. Looking forward to seeing everyone's posts. Have a safe trip home.

Ali, I posted a little blurb on my podcast-blog about letting my creative inspiration take the lead Wednesday morning. The following paragraph is in the AE tradition of things being OKAY!
I know my creative juices are flowing because the ideas are streaming through my head so fast that I missed two different turns while taking kids to school today. I am calling that creative distraction and am embracing it as a good thing!
I hope to finish up my layout for this challenge over the weekend. Still need to get the photo from Costco and see if I can figure out how to display a layout online!

Couldn't get my layout to send but this is WHY I CREATE.
I CREATE because of you. I CREATE because one day I want you to relive the life that has taken you to where you are now. I helped CREATE you and because of that...
I will continue to CREATE on each canvas a story that will help you relive a time, a place where you loved, laughed, cried and CREATED you own story to share.

I did another digital layout. I journalled about how everyone in my family was creative except me. That was until I found scrapbooking.
