AEzine Challenge: Photo Point of View

From the latest issue of AEzine:

This week your challenge is to create a layout that tells the story of your relationship with photos and/or your camera.

Consider the following questions:

What is your personal photo-taking process?

What are your strengths in regards to taking photos?

What do you want to change about your process?

Which photos that you have taken are your favorites? Why?

What makes those photos your favorite?

If you don't have time to create a layout this week I would encourage you to simply think about how you take photos. Write down a photo goal for yourself this week and do something about it over the next seven days.

+++

Can't wait to take a peek at what you have created this week! I got behind and didn't have a chance to put a layout together yet. Tonight, after I get done with classes for today, I will pick a couple samples out of what is linked in the comments and feature them here on my blog.

Happy Friday!

i'm so glad to see that someone else gets up before 6am(And is on the computer).
also great to know that sometimes you don't get to the challenges either. it actually makes me more inspired to take a picture of mine and finally get it on there. it'll be on my blog soon.

    Hello from Germany !
This was a great challenge, Ali, thank you so much for the inspiration !
I have a funny way of taking pictures, at least everybody thinks so, so I made it the topic of my layout.

I look forward to working on my weekly challenge and try to accomplish it on Thursday evenings while my hubby is at work.
Here is my layout--I had a lot of fun with the pictures, and the journalling has more to do with my history and family connections and photography--it's a hobby my brothers and I share, and we talk about it alot. I use four different cameras, and had a photo of all of them, but decided not to use it because I liked the repetition of the one image set up.
Ali, thanks again for the challenges; I enjoy having something like coffee for my creativity! :)

I'm not sure if I'm ready to do this layout in time, but I wanted to say that this newsletter on taking pictures was so good!!!! I loved it. I plan to read through it again and refine my strategy/system.

I am new to scrapbook and 2 of the 4 pages I have done are all thanks to your wonderful inspiration and all the great gals that post their creations here...I have a lot to learn about tools and techniques....but I love to think and create, so here I am.
I also am in love with the idea of mini books- I seriously lost my way from the real world earlier this week making my 5 favourites.

Why do I take pictures the way I do? To remember. To capture just that little bit of time, to freeze it so my eyes can still see what my heart feels! I think about the pictures I took of my son doing his first homework (He's in Kindergarten). I was particularly frustrated with the system at the time. As I was taking those pictures I just wanted to remember that day, when he needed me to help him with his homework and read to him! You can see my original post here: http://shasteenfamily.blogspot.com/2006/09/homework.html
So many times I hear people say "It goes by so fast"...I just want to record what I can so when my children are gone I have something to look back on. They might not be the "perfect" pictures all the time but they are mine and they are of the things that I love.

    Hey Ali,
Did the ABC course last night. Fantastic info.. Could not retrieve the ABC Color Ring though that you spoke of. You said we could go to "resourse" to download it. I could not find that anywhere. I can be inter-netly challenged though and it could have been staring me in the face... But I didn't see it. Please could you help me find it
    Tanya.

Thanks for this little challenge, for me every challenge helps me grow, loved this one. I think this picture says what it is about life that I love, I don't have children, so I want to scrap the pictures that I take of lots of other stuff. I find it chalenging and fun to scrap objects or places, just to mix it up!

Thank you so much for the great photo tips! This was a challenge that I loved because I always felt my pictures could be so much better if only I knew what I was doing. Now I feel a lot better with what I come up with now! And I am taking LOTS of pictures with me lying on my stomach to get that shot - hee hee! Thanks Ali!
