And Friday’s winner is…

Fridaywinner

Winner #1 : Jenifer Cowles

and

Winner #2 of an awesome additional donation from Catslife Press : Monica Rysavy
The owner, Susan, emailed me toady and wanted to contribute a few other goodies. You will get to select 3 mounted or 6 unmounted stamps from her site. Email me and I will give you all the info.

Congrats and thanks to everyone for playing!

One more day tomorrow. A BIG DAY. I will have another big drawing for some very cool stuff so check back in the morning.

And just a note:
the SixDegrees.org
site will be down for about two hours at 11pm Eastern for scheduled
maintenance. You will get a message to check back soon to make your
donation.

Tonight, Chris, Simon and I want to share with you a little video from a few months back: Simon singing Mr. Golden Sun (age 42006). Singing is one of his favorite ways to communicate – he has an amazing ability to memorize songs. Simon’s teachers have embraced his love and have been completely encouraging him along his way. They are fantastic. He is fantastic. You guys are fantastic. This whole experience has been fantastic.

Enjoy.

Download simon_singing.mov

(I adjusted this from earlier this evening – rather than it playing each time you open my blog you will need to click to open and view the video.)

So many times today I looked on here and felt totally overwhelmed with the response – amazing is all I can say. One more day. Tell one more person.

Go team, go.

Simon, is so precious, but you already know that. Watching him reminds me how important it is to live in the moment!I have three little ones and though at times they drive me crazy, they will not be little forever. Your family is always reminding me what is really important in life, I appreciate that.

are you in an evening gown!?! holy mackerel is your life so much more put together than mine right now!
ok – the music had just kicked on, and since it is 1 am here, I immediately checked my kids and dogs (one of them whines like a girl) and then came back to the computer a bit confused, and scrolled down (i hadn’t even gotten that far yet!)
He is so beautiful and FUN! I can’t stop smiling at the song – so happy and too cute.
Definitely going to have to teach my girls that song tomorrow!

He’s soooo amazing! Malachi was the same way – it was a large part of the way he communicated. He could memorize almost any song. Sometimes I would singsong my conversation to him to try and get him to talk back to me. WTG Simon – he’s awesome!!!

I remember hearing my son, Jacob (who is autistic as well) singing “where is thumbkin” behind me while driving to the scrapbook store (of all places). I seriously almost wrecked b/c I could not believe what I was hearing! Children with autism are so very very rad! Their cuteness is magnified 10 fold! Even the simplest of nursery rhymes and songs sung by any child is sweet, but there is something about hearing & seeing a child with a disability singing it that melts your heart! THEY ROCK ALI! Our little dudes ROCK!

OH MY GOSH!! How sweet is that??! I could listen to that over and over…wait ’til my daughter hears this in the morning!
Thank-you for that, Ali…and our love to Simon!

I am gonna go get some kleenex and smile…oh and pray for Simon that his day tomorrow is filled with the “sun shining down on him.”

I strongly admire how you have embraced everything special about your son and how you put it out there to the world. Some choose to deal silently, but you chose to use your unique situation to communicate to the masses and ask for support. And, oh how you have gotten it. It says a lot about how people feel about you and what you bring to our lives as scrapbookers. Your unique perspective is inspiring. We know several families with autistic children and see the everyday challanges. Hopefully this will help fight the fight for these kids.
