one little word : stop

Working with beeswax, paint, transparencies and patterned paper. The stop sign came from a catalog in the mail today. Tiny text says:  stop the excess. stop the need. stop closing your eyes and your mind and your heart. stop the crazy want.

For the one little word challenge.

Don’t you just love Claudine’s DVD on beeswax? I took her class a couple of years ago, but she’s updated some techniques…I learned so much from the DVD…

very profound text. These thoughts have been on my mind. I feel as though we are giving up as a society sometimes. Although, I am still an optimist, and you have shown us the power of one!
Thank-you for all your hard work. It is very inspiring.

ALI – PLEASE READ THIS!!! Please share your amazing art with the whole world by going up on walls! Check out for example and do a search for abstract collage. Your stuff is better and I for one would love to buy your art! It would look so awesome transferred onto canvas! At the very least, make work like “stop” available on poster format at your Cafepress store! Your message is to stop closing your mind, so why limit yourself to the world of scrapbooking! You are not only a life artist, but a world artist as well! With love, Tiffany Kotz

I’m a big fan of using beeswax in collage and I haven’t used it on scrapbook pages yet but it’s in the works.

Thanks for the link to the beeswax DVD, Ali. I’ve ordered one, as well as a couple of basic instruction DVDs on drawing and acrylics. This is something I’ve been thinking about (drawing/painting), but hadn’t taken time to look for any help. One-stop shopping is great!
