Working with beeswax, paint, transparencies and patterned paper. The stop sign came from a catalog in the mail today. Tiny text says: stop the excess. stop the need. stop closing your eyes and your mind and your heart. stop the crazy want.
For the one little word challenge.

Don’t you just love Claudine’s DVD on beeswax? I took her class a couple of years ago, but she’s updated some techniques…I learned so much from the DVD…

ALI – PLEASE READ THIS!!! Please share your amazing art with the whole world by going up on walls! Check out allposters.com for example and do a search for abstract collage. Your stuff is better and I for one would love to buy your art! It would look so awesome transferred onto canvas! At the very least, make work like “stop” available on poster format at your Cafepress store! Your message is to stop closing your mind, so why limit yourself to the world of scrapbooking! You are not only a life artist, but a world artist as well! With love, Tiffany Kotz
a terrific piece.
I love it! This really resonates with me, I think it’s one of your best, Ali!
I’m a big fan of using beeswax in collage and I haven’t used it on scrapbook pages yet but it’s in the works.
Got moved by your work. This is a pure art and so powerful in its meaning. Keep up and I will follow your path.
Ali this is so cool! I would never thought of using beeswax the screen prints!
Thanks for the link to the beeswax DVD, Ali. I’ve ordered one, as well as a couple of basic instruction DVDs on drawing and acrylics. This is something I’ve been thinking about (drawing/painting), but hadn’t taken time to look for any help. One-stop shopping is great!
Many have commented on your inspiration for the “One Little Word” group (http://onelittleword.blogspot.com/)
I came across this album that Beth Johnson is making for her collection of words – looks cool:

Can you explain the parts that you did on this page. I can tell the blue spots but did you add any other wax or designs?
Thanks a Bunch
