December Daily : Day Four
Patterned paper today is from Basic Grey (Dasher Collection). December stamp is Tim Holtz (who now has a blog where he is showing tons of cool techniques) for Stampers Anonymous. The font used for my journaling is 1942 Report.
There have been a couple questions about what adhesive I am using to adhere things to the transparent pages. I am using my trusty Dot-n-Roller which is really the universal adhesive I have been using on just about everything. Most of the time I have been covering up the "other side" of any elements with another element so that any adhesive is unseen.
Someone also asked about what printer I am using these days. Right now I have a HP Photosmart D7360 that I picked up at Office Max. It is working great for the photos I print here at home.
The red brad embellishment on Day Three is from K&Company - they just call them Metal Brads. Love them.
Hi Ali,
So enjoying your album - and all your holiday goodness.
I added my December 2007 Album to my typepad album section - first album on the blog - kind of fun. Hope you'll check it out.

Thanks for sharing the info about your printer! I love sending my pictures to winkflash and having them done for me but latley I have been very impatient waiting for them to come in the mail. I think I need to try printing some myself.

Hi Ali,
I love your work! I know how you loved the HEMA store when you were in the Netherlands. Check out this link http://producten.hema.nl/, a fun way to promote their products. Simon might like this too, my daughter is shouting 'again, again!' right now, as she is sitting on my lap, LOL.
Have fun, and thanks for all the inspiration your giving us!!! You're a wonderful person!!

Hi Ali- As my husband and 6yr old daughter happily opened their advent boxes and calendar this morning at breakfast, I slipped away to check out your newest December page. My husband said "what are you doing honey" to which my daughter replied- " she's checking Ali's blog- it's like her advent calendar- she's addicted" - love your blog, your inspirational ideas and following along with my own December pages. Thanks for being my advent calendar! Jen

Hi Ali, I love the metal brads from K & Co. too. Their colors and designs remind me of winter and Jan Brett books. Has Simon know about "The Mitten"? His class may do it this month or next.

Good Afternoon Ali, I bought the same printer a couple of months ago and I am amazed at the quality of the pictures I print on it. I recommend it to everyone! Love seeing your daily album.

Hi Ali - I just recently started reading your blog and you are so inspiring! My job gets pretty hectic at times and I have a hard time 'staying creative', but your blog gives me so many great things to think about through the day that I am starting to make creativity/art a part of my daily life. I love the idea of your December Daily album... I want to try to work on something similar this Christmas, I'm thinking of a 12 Days of Christmas album (it's sooo much easier for me to commit to 12 pages than 31 :). Anyways, I don't mean to blab, but I just wanted to say Thank You!!

Hi Ali,
I have a question about your printer.
Do you get waterproof prints?
I have a HP Photosmart 6180 and use only HP ink and HP photopaper. Still, if I get water on my photos, they smear. According to HP employees here in Sweden, there is no waterproof HP ink on the market for home use printers, but I still wonder if there might be a difference between european and American HP products.

Hi Ali,
Another question for you: do you crop your photos into squares or does your camera take square format photos?
If it is down to your manipulation, what program do you use?
Thanks, and thanks for all the great inspiration on your blog.

Ali-
Any chance you can tell us what kind of Album track you'll be teaching at CKU '08?

Hi Ali! I'm doing some Christmas shopping and wondering what your "must-have" magazines are? I know that you read a lot, as you reference them in your blog - what are the most helpful/useful?
I've been so inspired by you, your family, and the blog - thank you!!! I just finished an 8x8 book of pictures for my dad, and smiled to myself as I declared it "good enough." I also let myself off the hook and saved the Advent boxes for next year - giving myself "permission" to do this has been the best blessing you've given me!
Thanks.

I am a new fan of your blog and love ALL of your latest projects and thoughtful comments! Your December Daily album is fun to look at each day--did you purchase the acetate pages with the grid patterns on them or did you do that yourself? Hmmmmmm..... inquiring mind(s)

Love your December Daily. You never cease to inspire me.
Did you happen to hear the story on NPR today about autism and fevers? I'm sure this info is not news to you.
