Celebrate Everyday Life with Shutterfly

Shutterflyphotobook1

One of the big projects I have been working on over the last few months (and am really excited about)  is the creation of a Celebrate Everyday Life photo book for Shutterfly.

This hard-bound book is available in 12x12 and 8x8 formats (minimum of 20 pages but you can add up to 80) and are set up for you to simply drag and drop your photos right into the book & type your text into specified areas. The design is super clean with plenty of white space to keep the emphasis on the photos + words.

Page topics within the photo book include everyday celebrations, observations, distractions, travel, play, work, routines, family, home, beauty, little things, etc. All those parts of our life worth documenting.

In addition to creating the photo book I wrote four short articles related to putting this book together (and scrapbooking everyday life in general). Here's a link to each:

Oh THANK YOU Ali! I am so glad that you shared your vision and expertness with Shutterfly. I've done a few books with them but I wanted more options and ideas. THANKS! I can't wait to work on a new project that won't add another mess to my clutter that I am currently working on getting rid of.

wow! i love the idea of having it bound. Can you make the book over time or do you have a short window to upload pictures and text i.e. do you have to have the text already organised before you put it in.
You are very inspirational. Thanks for sharing your ideas.

Great! I did a MyPublisher book for the first time a few months ago, and loved it. I could never give up all the pretty papers and supplies I love using as a scrapper, but I definitely decided that these kinds of photo books have a place in my life as a scrapper, too. I like the professional look and feel of the books, and they really are very simple to create!

I can't wait to do this book. I love Shutterfly books. I have done a few and I notice that I journal a lot more than I do with my "regular" scrapbook pages. So thank you for doing this. Your mind is full of wonderful ideas!

This question is definitely off the subject, but is there anywhere for a person with no blogging experience to go to get the scoop on blogging so that they don't totally fall on their face? I would like to get some journals and bags up on ETSY and it sure seems that you need a personal blog to be able to link to get your name out. Sorry to throw this out to you, Ali, but I was in your class at CKU in Chicago a couple of years ago and I thought "if anyone knows, it will be ALI!" Thanks for any info you can relay.
