Celebrate Everyday Life with Shutterfly

Shutterflyphotobook1

One of the big projects I have been working on over the last few months (and am really excited about)  is the creation of a Celebrate Everyday Life photo book for Shutterfly.

This hard-bound book is available in 12x12 and 8x8 formats (minimum of 20 pages but you can add up to 80) and are set up for you to simply drag and drop your photos right into the book & type your text into specified areas. The design is super clean with plenty of white space to keep the emphasis on the photos + words.

Page topics within the photo book include everyday celebrations, observations, distractions, travel, play, work, routines, family, home, beauty, little things, etc. All those parts of our life worth documenting.

In addition to creating the photo book I wrote four short articles related to putting this book together (and scrapbooking everyday life in general). Here's a link to each:

Journaling Your Everyday Life
8 Techniques for Choosing or Taking Photos
List of Everyday Photos

While you are visiting Shutterfly, check out the darling photo book created by Jessica Sprague: ABC's of You.

Ali, thanks so much for the articles you wrote for Shutterfly! I esp. like the idea that imperfect photos can be used if that fits the right moment! =)

I loved the articles. Somehow it makes me feel normal when it comes to my photography shortcomings. There is hope for the challenged picture taker. Thank you!

this is so COOL!!! i would love to take the time to create my own album from scratch...but keep putting it off cuz I don't have the time to do it all prefectly. with this, I won't have to worry...drag and drop, and i know it looks great! i can move on to other projects without stressing over THIS one. thanks!

hi ali- that book is soooo cool- i just cannot decide what pics to choose to make-
i am trying to decide that if they are pics that i put there- if i will use those pics again for my kids books or not...
too many decisions-- or i should say way too many photos- thats why i need that photo freedom book too!
i cant wait to make mine!

    Hi Ali
I don't know if you have seen this video but it is amazing. It is to raise money and awareness of autism. Five for Fighting is donatind $.40 each time it is watched. Get out the kleenex though because it is a heart breaker.

Hi Ali! Love this - it makes your concepts so "doable"! You are the best thing CK has going for them! One question, are there any additional filler pages that are of the same design? Those would be great also!HappyHappyJoyJoy
