Hello Monday.

Boys

I think we have finally got to the point where everyone around here is relatively healthy.

Simon is back to school and Chris and I are working away here at home. Work for me this week is all about getting ready for CKU in Chicago next weekend.

I had a great time this past weekend at the Portland Creating Keepsakes Convention. It's always nice to be able to do events somewhat locally - and to catch up with people I see from year to year.

One of the highlights was getting to meet a Portland photographer I have admired for awhile Jen Downer of She Saw Things (that has to be one of my favorite names for a creative business). We had dinner with my Mom on Friday night and then she came to my class on Saturday morning. There is really nothing better than connecting with another creative person "in person."

Another highlight was having Chris, Simon, and my in-laws come up to see Corteo (a Cirque du Soleil show in a very big tent in downtown Portland). It was wonderful and magical and Simon was totally into the whole thing. He has been big on adventures lately so this was quite a treat. It's playing throughout the rest of the month - if you are somewhat local you should check it out.

And of course, the political junkie in me is excited about tomorrow's primaries in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Here's to a really productive week.

Your hubby isn't related to a Mike Nolte??? For some reason, in this photograph he reminds me soooooo much of a guy I used to work for!
    Take care!

Love the picture (but i commented on flickr first). Glad to see everyone is well again. Also glad you enjoyed Corteo. I saw it when it came through Atlanta. It's not my favorite Cirque show (I LOVE Verekai), but it's fun. They show the recordings of the shows sometimes on Bravo if Simon's interested!
