Found.
Found this little album today as I was going through a basket of stuff in my closet. I picked this up when I was in Japan in 2006. It's small, just about 3.5x3.5, and the inside pages are those black magnetic sheets that I probably want to keep my photos away from. I love the cream color and the language and will probably just use it as a decoration here in my office.
It brought back lots of memories - that was such a great trip.
that is so cool...i love fun things from other countries and really anything about photos!

I love the "vintage" look it has as well. You could also take a picture of it and use the photo in a layout or as an embellishment-it's just so cool looking!

It's always fun to come across something that got put away that was an obvious treasure. You did keep it for some reason, after all! I think it does deserve a proper place somewhere. Doesn't everything? Physical reminders of things that live in our memories are the only way to revisit. That's the whole reason we all scrapbook! Enjoy your memento. Maybe I'll come across something cool soon. It IS Spring cleaning time. ;)

I love those little albums. Perhaps we firm up our dates for the design study Japan 2009 trip? :)

I have a quirky love for anything that says "with care" -- handle with care, etc. So I found this especially delightful. :)

Ali,
You could gut the book (remove the magnetic pages) and sew cardstock into the book making it into an altered book.

Could you tear off the plastic covers and cover the black pages with buffered cardstock and use it with copies (maybe black and white) of that trip or favorite pictures?

Oh, funny! Paolo gave me the same cute little album in red (bought on that same trip w/ you). I just ran across it while cleaning my desk and was trying to figure out what to I wanted to put in it. :)

I just love English phrasing on Japanese items. They're so entertaining! I guessed that the album was from Japan before I read your post! (I used to live there.)

Love the "Engrish" on the cover! Brings back memories of my trip to Japan. The funny phrases were one of my favorite things. Check out www.engrish.com!

How cool is that album! I think you should use it for making one of these.
