Hanging out in DC.
On my way to Donna's Inspired event in North Carolina. Looking forward to spending time with my sister and catching up with other friends from around the country.
And once again I am hanging out while dealing with flight delays. Definitely one of my most favorite things in the world. Actually, it's a small price to pay for the adventures.
I especially enjoy making travel friends as we try to anticipate the airlines, jump online to check flight status, commiserate on the delays, and eventually make it to our destinations.
Sorry about your travel woes, but it sounds like you're making the best of it. Have a great time creating and spending time with your sweet Sis. LOVE what you did with the KOTM, cant' wait to get mine in the mail!!!

Ali,
Sorry you are stuck with delays. You have a good attitude about it though! Have you read A New Earth yet? If you haven't, I think you would really like it. Also(FYI), there was a segment on mainstreaming autistic children on the Today Show this am. Hope you got to view it or can see it via the web! Have a great day! :)

DC is the most wonderful place if I say so myself. If you get stuck overnight, you have a place to stay. Cerise

Welcome to North Carolina! Concord is right by me, only about 15 minutes from my house. The weather is great right now. I'd invite you to dinner but I know you have way too much to do and your sister to visit.

Dulles is not that far from me.
Have a wonderful time at Inspired!!!

You are truly an amazing person. You even find flight delays as an opportunity for joy and connection. Talk about inspiring! Safe travels, Ali.

Hi Ali - I have a question about your album from Shutterfly. What kind of paper is it printed on? I am interested in making your Everyday Life album and wondered if the finished product is printed on Cardstock or heavy paper? Thanks for your time! Yardy

All I can think is what a great travel friend you would be.
One of my favorite hanging out in an airport experiences included meeting an awesome woman who ended up showing me pictures of her house. She had converted an old church. It was the coolest thing! She even had an old confessional in her bathroom that she painted the inside of with chalkboard paint and hung chalk in, so her friends would have something to do while they were in there! Great fun!

Hope you get there safe and sound!! We are snowed in up here in Alberta, Canada - about 2 to 3 feet of snow in the last few hours and still falling. Roads are horrific, but it is so calm outside. So work from home today and enjoy the quiet.

My sister just came back from Australia. One of her stops was in the states and as she ran through the terminal and customs she met up with a guy who lives close to our home town. As hectic as airports can be, it sure is nice to find people who relate to you and who would love to keep you company! Have fun at the conference! Sounds like fun!!

LOL My job is mainly making travel arrangements. Those stingy flight delays have my boss calling me at 7:30PM on Sunday nights so it's not only the travellers that are affected by them!

I'm so sick that I'm going to miss you at Inspired. I was set to go as a TA and family health issues. So I'm really sick that I'm going to miss all the people and projects. If you see or talk to my great friend Kathy Adams, surprise her by saying a BIG hello.

Hey Ali,
Thanks for the positive light towards the delays. They suck, but it's nice to see someone try and put a positive spin on things. I work for an airline and it always hurts when people get all up in arms, especially when 85% of the time it's not the airline's fault.
Hope the traveling goes well!! enjoy your trip!
