And hello Monday.

I love coming home and having Chris and Simon pick me up at the airport.

Yesterday I was greeted by Harry Potter & Hagrid (I was Hermione). Of course Harry was wearing his cape and he was so happy to see me. "You can't ever go on the plane again" was mentioned until I told him that next time I go to the airport he gets to go on the plane with me. That resulted in a very big smile.

CKU Houston was great. The energy was good. People did their homework and were really ready to get down to the business of putting their Evolution album together.

The thing that continues to stand out for me in this album (there is a similar album in my Life Artist book) are the enlarged photographs. There is something amazing about enlarging photos that may not be the best quality (or are simply old) that turns them into works of art. Walking around the classroom I am always blown away by the choices that the students make in terms of which photos to enlarge. (CKU Provo is coming up August 6-9. Check out more information here.)

Another thing I love about attending events are the people I get to connect with, share stories, laugh, maybe shed a tear or two (hey, telling your story can be an emotional thing), etc. I love that in my classes I have stay-at-home-Moms, women without kids or spouses, men, college professors, attorneys, grandmas, engineers, bus drivers, etc. Everyone has a story to tell.

Today I am recovering and getting back to work - these events inspire me + wipe me out. If you emailed me about store visits last week I will be responding to those with more information later today.

I am also working on a blog series for next week that will run Monday through Friday. Look for more information on that later this week.

Happy Monday!

I'm glad you're back and enjoyed listening/sharing other people's stories. It's one of the things I enjoy most about meeting new people - sharing stories of our lives. Can't wait for the new series next week!

good to meet you last wk, you are a new fave! Journaling...well..when I FINALLY decided to just 'blurt it out' and write like I talk...that's the only way I can get it on the page! I was always worried about my penmanship and my grammar...who cares!! The loved ones that will read it now and in the future will 'hear' me talking this way..now I am finally journaling! Put my name in for the freebies! Deb
