God Bless Tim Russert.

Chris and I were so sad to read the breaking news that Tim Russert, host of Meet The Press, died today. He was our Sunday morning tradition. We so enjoyed him as a journalist because it was so obvious that he absolutely loved his work and lived his life passionately.

Even if we never knew him personally we will miss him.

    Ali,
My husband and I both enjoyed watching Meet the Press, it is sad to hear of his passing. It's reminder to all of us to enjoy life and the ones we have around us.

I just saw this news as well. It is so sad. The upcoming presidential election will not be the same without his insightful analysis and commentary. He will be greatly missed.

I love him as well - such a seemingly down to earth man. He'll definetly be missed.

OH how sad -- taken way too young. I so love Tim Russert. To me he just always seemed like the smartest person and had so much personality. Let's face it, politics can get complicated and I hate to say it, turn boring, but he never made it seem that way. I also admired the way he would commentate and report without getting heated like some political talking heads. A real class act -- he will be missed by so many that never knew him personally.

    Sad.
I read his book that he wrote about his relationship with his dad, I didn't watch much news, but really liked him a lot.

oh! I, too, love listening to Tim Russert -- every Sunday and many mornings on Morning Joe. He's been a huge part of politics in America. and meet the press just celebrated their 60th? i think anniversary. huge loss.

I am just in shock too right now. I loved watching him and loved the way he handled himself during interviews. He was a man who loved his job and his family and it came through everytime you saw him. Sad.

WE ARE SO SAD ABOUT THIS at our house.
Tim made politics bearable for those of us who feel that we need it "broken down" into understandable information.
It's selfish of me, but I hate the idea of going through an election year without him.
    So young.
    So VIBRANT.
    So smart.
    Such a huge loss....

As soon as I heard I called my dad and started crying. We were both fans of watching the show while having coffee if we were together. It will not be the same on Sundays without him. Blessings to his family.

I just read those headlines, and though we didn't know the man personally, he was a tradition in our family as well. My son felt the need to inform his Grandpa in another state, who has never missed the show. It's the small things in life that bond us all together.
