Three Things : Wish List

Threethings

Most weeks three things tend to be products I have around here, things I have tried and loved or been inspired by. This week I am bringing you three things that are in my shopping cart that I am planning to order, try out + play with.

1. Autumn Leaves inks. There has been positive buzz on internet message boards recently about these inks. I am always on the lookout for good inks (my favorites tend to be from the little cats eye chalk inks + a few colors from Stampin Up - especially an old cranberry that I think was retired). Also just noticed that these inks are listed at 50% off on Two Peas.

2. Fiskars Threading Water Punch. Another tool I have seen mentioned lately is this one from Fiskars. I love scallops and I love circles and I think I am most excited to play with this one of the three.

3. Red Banner Die-Cut Paper from Creative Imaginations. I like die cut papers like this one with nice points and lines for journaling. The point can be used as a directional design device and the lines are great for keeping my journaling in line. Most of the time I have found that I like to cut sheets like this in half and use one on one layout and the other half on another (or on the second page of a two page spread as seen below).

hi there, I love to try new things too, but have to pay attention to scrapbook budget!! LOL, Those fISKARS punches are great to give a special look to ordinary cardstock when layering or for borders, as I don't like the decorative scissors, which tend to crush the paper edges, I love this one, I have the simple scallop one. I didn't know about these new inks ! and Creative Imaginations is a MUST!! ;) Have a great day !

I love cat's eye chalks, especially for inking the edges of things with minimal mess. And that punch looks fabulous!

Ali, the Threading Water punch is awesome! I have had mine for a couple of monthes and use it all the time! From trial and error I found it works best if you turn the punch on the backside to punch and line up the pattern. Leave it to Weaver is another great punch...it allows you to weave ribbon
on a LO in a very easy way. Happy Scrappin! :)

I love all of those. I also have a quote that I feel like you will like that I want to share with you. "It is sad that we who are so fleeting and mortal, waste our short lives on passing things...when all we really want is to love and be loved in that perfect way that makes us feel whole, like the way water settles into pockets of rock after a rain." -Jimmy Santiago Baca It seemed very Ali-Edwards-ish to me, so I thought I'd share. Have a good day, thanks for the inspiration! :)

You will LOVE the threading water punch....I use mine constantly-it is one of my all-time favorite tools. You should also check out the bracket border punch from Martha Stewart--a tiny border like edge that rocks.

Ali ~ I have the punch and LOVE it! I know you would love it also...it's just wonderful - I've already used it on several layouts already and I can't say that for all the tools I've just 'had to have' if you know what I mean. This one is a keeper.
I like that paper also - it's been on my wishlist at Two Peas for a while...have to get it with my next order.

I have the Threading Water punch. It is one fun little tool -- if you hide the circles, it looks like paper rickrack. I've had people ask me when I use it on cards if it is rickrack. I also used it in a layout where I hung tags from the circles. Very cool little device!
