Happy Friday.

Any one else notice how fast the weeks seem to be going lately? Sometimes I feel like I just blink and it is already Friday again.

A couple product announcements for today:

First, my new stamps are back in stock at Technique Tuesday. You can check them out here:

I also wanted to share a two new things that I have recently released through Designer Digitals (new products are added to the store every Sunday) and am really excited about as the are building blocks for very cool projects. Definitely weekend creative sort of material.

Ae_photocalendar_january2009_sample

2009 Photo Calendar Layered Template : This layered template is designed to hold an entire month of photos for each of the 12 months in 2009. The download also includes a blank calender that you could use for this year or any year. Great for Photo A Day/365 projects or capturing a specific month in your life. 12x12.

I am thinking about embarking on another 365 project for nex year (I started one of just me this year and got sidetracked after about the first month). Especially with a new baby in the house I think my camera will be getting quite a bit of use this next year and I envision widening the project to just be a photo a day rather than a self-portrait a day. Even just documenting the baby's first month in this format would be really cool.

The background is customizable or you can just leave it a nice clean white.

You can learn more about working with layered templates here.

Live Your Gratitude Daily Calendar : This is my other favorite recent release and is based on a minibook I created for my newest book Sharing Your Story. It's a place to document your own personal everyday gratitudes and makes a great gift (thinking towards the holidays). You do not need to have Photoshop for this product as it comes with PDF files for easy printing. 8 inches x 8 inches.

Here's a peek at the book that appeared in Sharing Your Story:

Gratitude1

Gratitude2

Gratitude3

The minibook I used as a foundation for this project is a 7gypsies Naked Composition Journal. I simply printed out the gratitude pages on cream cardstock, rounded the corners, and adhered each page into the book. The cover includes a bunch of circle-punched patterns and is covered with gel medium (you could use mod podge as well).

Hoping you all have a great weekend and get a chance to work on your week in the life albums. Don't wait too long to put those books together. It is so worth the effort. That's a reminder to me as much as it is to you!

love your layout and book Ali, so awesome! I have to say I really struggled when it came time to put my book together, I am not sure why. Pressured myself to make it perfect, etc. I finally just sat down last night and started it. I should have it done this weekend!

Love the new layouts - have been eyeing up the calendar one for a bit now. Thought it would work great for Brody's daily schedule!! Never thought of the photo a month (I might actually do it then - since I think it is an awesome idea)
Still plugging away at my week in the life - 2 days done (slow - slow - slow) but can't wait for it to be done.
Hope you have a great weekend.

    ali,
i loved how you cut the notebook embellie in thirds...i think those are one of the best embellishments for your money - they are so versatile!
do you have any comments on the slice by making memories and if it is a good tool to consider?

Ali, I am thinking of finally getting Photoshop. I am wondering if you think Elements is adequate? I think that the whole program would overwhelm me, but will I be able to do enough with elements? Would this gratitude template work in elements? It's something my mom would love for a gift.

    Ali....
I was wondering if you are considering a 8.5x11 photo a day calander. I really want to do this but do not have a large format printer. Or can the 12x12 b3 modified to print on 8.5x11 without loosing something in the reformatting????
    Thanks a million

Heather - Elements should be just right. Most likely it is all the program you need and is priced so much better!

Hey Denise - I will definitely consider it. I think that shrinking the 12x12 to 8x8 would be pretty small. I don't use a 12x12 printer either. Instead I just upload my 12x12 layouts to scrapbookpictures.com and have them printed there.
Let me see what I can do...

Scrapbook Expo is on the agenda today (after the pumpkin patch field trip with the kiddos) with the ladies I have been scrappingbooking with for the last 8 years. We will just peruse then plan to head back to the house and scrap til midnight. I am hoping to finish "Week in the Life" and last years family trip to Disney World. Thank You Ali, I am excited about the pic a day calendar. I hope I too can stay focused! Have a great weekend!

Love, love, love the photo a day idea. I did something sort of similar for Delaynee's first year. I got one of those baby's first year calendars and committed to making a little comment in each day. It worked great for me because the little boxes didn't make me feel overwhelmed. Yes, I missed a few here and there, but overall, most days had information about what her life entailed that day. We have gotten so much enjoyment looking back at it, that I have attempted to continue it this year. Not doing quite as well, because I started in journal format so I think I need to write more which leads to procrastination. Oh Well, as long as I don't abandon it all together. I think the photo a day will be a great compliment to this, plus it might help to remind me to get my camera out more! ;o)

Ali, I love the gratitude journal, I think I might try to put one of those together once the holidays are over for the new year. I think it would help anyone to try to remember daily gratitudes with the state of our economy and how scary everyone's financial futures are. To remember the simple things will keep us focused on what is most important! To keep it all in perspective.
Thanks for the reminder about the album too, I want to get a good chunk of it done this weekend! :)

Love, love, LOVE your new templates!!! The calendar is awesome...makes it nice and easy for me to easily put a month together and the gratitude template is amazing as well. Last year for one month, before I went to bed I would write one thing I was grateful for in my day planner. I'm excited to have a special place for it with the help of your template!
    Thanks, Ali!!!

love that top page, so clean and simple and yet not really simple. What size is your page, it looks like 8.5x11 but with the photo I'm not sure.
