December Daily : Day Nine
Sometimes during December Daily the things I capture don't really have much to do with holiday decorations, traditions, or events. Sometimes they are wonderful, little, everyday moments that I happen upon just because the camera was out and accessible.
Simon and Chris doing homework together - part of our evening ritual either before or after dinner. Having a conversation about what Simon had just read out loud. Making a connection between reading and life.
Behind the camera I am thinking about our role as parents. Watching life unfold. Holding hands. Thinking about the past and the future and all those little moments in between. Considering how lucky we are to have this person in our lives.

This page begins on the back of yesterday's with a photo covering the same photo location, a strip of printed twill, and a bit of hand-drawn journaling on top of the printed out strips.
Journaling was hand-written on the printed December Daily Photo + Journal Overlays and backed with Santa paper. I will do something on top of that Santa paper - just not sure quite yet.
Photo was printed with the digital Remember Word Art and stitched to the 7gypsies flocked pattern paper.
I just love that photo. Definitely one to enlarge and frame for here at home.

Ali, I appreciate your simplicity. The idea of capturing our everyday lives ( I also participated in your "Week in the Life" album recently) is so attractive. It is the everyday that shows who we truly are, not just the "special" moments. I like it. What a great self-pic yesterday! I was wondering how far along you are now - you look great! Stay healthy & strong in this busy season. Blessings to your family!

Ali,
Love the warmth of all your photos. Do you have any tips?

Love it Ali - think I will have to invest in that digi template. Still not knowledgeable enough to get these done myself (take me too long) Have managed to use my Wacom tablet to write on photo's like that - but love your words.
Thanks for sharing

Love the photo. Did you do anything special to it? It has a *textured* look to it. If not, what settings did you use on your camera (iso, shutter speed, etc)?

What a great photo....and a great moment. Isn't that what it's all about?
I am never really sure whether to call my husband by his name or call him "Daddy" in my layouts. Nice to know that you use your hubby's name.

WOW - one of those moments we all want to capture in our lives! I agree with you that this is definitely one to enlarge and frame for the house. I hope to become as talented a photographer as you someday. You do inspire me to snap away since practice does make us better! Thanks again, for sharing and inspiring.

Once again, I am totally inspired! I just downloaded the remember word art at DD and can't wait to use them. So lovely! I have several of your digital products and love them all. Please keep the overlays coming. :) Thanks, Ali.

The photos of Simon and his dad warm my heart. They're so wonderful - a really wonderful memory. I think you're happy that you were able to record it photographically. Many Greetings from Germany.

? How do you manage to punch holes in the acrylic overlay you used on Day 1 in order to slip it into your album?
