2009 Words

My word was RELINQUISH. I did not see it on the list. I was so taken with choosing a word that I shared it at work (I work in a library). We always have a display behind our circulation desk and after we took down our holiday one we were stuck for a new topic. I suggested that we make a display explaining the "one little word" and everyone could put up their words. It was a hit!

My word is wellness. I already made a placard for my desk that reads, "the quality or state of being in good health, especially as an actively sought goal or as the result of a deliberate effort."

My word for this year is NOW
I am focussing on the now that is here and right in front of me..not procrastinating, not looking and worrying about the future and past

I could have used start but stop seemed to fit me better

I originally picked SUCCEED. Which I hope to apply to my life in 2009, BUT I have since changed it to HALF-FULL because how can you not be successful if you go through each day with a HALF-FULL attitude.

Hi Ali,
The word I've chosen for this year is Document (verb). I plan to do more scrapbooking and capturing stories. I want to make more progress on researching my family tree. And at work I write up procedures for my department. Actually, I think my word picked me :-)

My word for this year is "calm"
I know it is past Christmas but I have a question regarding the 25 Days of Christmas Project. What stickers did you use for your numbers for each day. I like how they look. I would like to use something similar for 2009. Hoping you answer the question if you are feeling up to it.

My daughters word is "FIT" ( get fit, wii fit,fit it in...) happy day Ali & good luck with the next month!!!!!

The word I choose for 2009 is "Acquit".
I want to set myself free from ridiculous burdens such as feeling bad about other people's sad emotions or temper tantrums. I want to free myself from compulsive duties such as feeling like I should make dinner for the kids when I don't have to. I also want to to feel entirely 'Not Guilty' when I say "no" to people for choices I make. I want to acquit myself from these things so I can feel happy about who I am and what i do.

My word for this year is CONTROL. I'm not so concerned with controlling my environment, but having control of my thoughts and actions and choices in ways that will impact my surroundings in a positive way.

Hi, i came across this one word on a fellow scrappers site. it intrigued me so I picked my own word. It's "focus". It really is kinda moving to pick one and apply it to your life.. looking forward to 2009.

I was at an Angel Card meeting this weekend and the card that I picked out of the basket was GENEROSITY. I have decided to keep that as my word of the year. I want to be more generous with my time, thoughts, actions with my family, friends, and strangers. I can't wait to see how my word unfolds throughout the year. Thanks Ali.

I've chosen AWARENESS as my word for the year...often I'm so busy going from task to task that I am unaware of what is really going on around me, and miss many of the beautiul and special things. Thanks for the suggestion to chose a word. We're all sending you our love during this special time for you and your family.

I'm a little late in getting my word in, but my word for this year is MARGIN...something I really need in my life right now...a little need of staying within my margins and not trying to go past them, on telling people NO, and leaving some room in my life for breathing.

This is so awesome. My first milestone was today. I cleaned and organized my creative space. Definitely brought BALANCE to my area.
