Good meetings.

Just a quick update: we had two really good meetings with surgeons yesterday as well as the procedure to remove the margins of the melanoma. Both Chris and I are feeling much better after very reassuring information from the doctors. Thank you again for your prayers and thoughts.

Hoping to be able to do a photo tour of my office sometime next week. Have a great weekend!

I am so very glad to hear the news was so good. My second grandbaby is due in the next few short weeks also, this one is a boy to join his sister!
I use to give my children "words" for a period of time back when they were younger. One year it was cooperation for a whole summer! Many conversations contained their word and it is so funny because they would use it on me after a few days!! I am thinking about what my word will be this year. I have used balance and priority in the past. I'll let you know what I decide.

Good to hear your good news. I firmly believe being proactive is key. You don't need the stress...especially now! Focus on the positive...can't wait to hear the baby news!

So glad you had an encouraging meeting w/the surgeon! Prayers will continue. Love the sweet fabric swatches. I, too, am now looking forward to spring as I put away the Christmas decorations. And to visiting my new bundle of joy, a baby granddaughter in Chicago. Meanwhile I wanted to tell you I've been challenged already w/my words for 2009 (serenity & grace). I'm sorry to say I did not do well when it came up, but it helped me focus & within 2 days I made some real progress w/the situation that cropped up! So once again, Ali, thank you for the inspiration. Now I'm anxious to see your nursery.

Glad your procedure is done, so you can get on with things rather than 'anticipating' that. I had a margin to margin cut out of a worrisome mole a couple of years ago and it does take a while to heal. Mine was on my shoulder blade and I didn't have anyone to change my bandages, but I discovered 4" and 6" square gauze adhesive bandages at one local drugstore chain (CVS) and they were big enough to both allow me to gently slap them in place without worrying about having the adhesive on any of the stitches. Even after the seepage stopped (which was several days), I needed something between my incision and my clothes because the area was very tender. Until then, I didn't realize there were any adhesive bandages that big, so wanted to pass that information along in case it's helpful to you. I'm praying for good news and a quick recovery.
