Three Things : just a little more love

Threethingslove

I couldn't help it. One more week of love-related products here on Three Things. Maybe it's because this baby's due date is February 14th or maybe it's because of all the pink stuff that has been making it's way into our home. Regardless, I am loving anything with pink and hearts right now and that is really not normal for me. Here's a look at a couple things that caught my attention this week.

Teresa Collins Pink Dot Transparency (8x8) : I have this one in my cart at Scrapbook.com. It's 8x8 and work great in this little album I am considering using for the baby's first few days/weeks. Still considering exactly what I want to do for that documentation. I am pretty sure that this is just clear with pink dots (rather than grey with pink dots).

Love Clear Transparency pages (5x7) from Heidi Swapp : These fit into her 5x7 mirror album or you could add it to one of Tim Holtz's 5x7 Tabbed Grungeboard books or a minibook of your own construction or just use one on top of a photo on a layout. Definitely love the idea of these.

Scrapbook-dot-com_2034_1222115260

Jenni Bowlin Mini Valentine Bingo Cards : These little guys (2.5 x 3.5) would be fun to use for Valentine cards or for a little minibook with photos on the other side.

Now that the holidays are over you may be looking for another fun project
to occupy some of your creative energy (and you may have considered this project last fall). Don't forget that my Family Gratitude Photo Spinner class is still available for download through Big Picture Scrapbooking. This is a downloadable class that is all done on your own time and at your own pace.

Cost for the workshop is $12 and includes: color handouts
with step by step instructions, downloadable PDF templates (for
transparencies and titles), full supply list with links to products, an
audio message from me, a private gallery for sharing your projects with
others in the class, and access to a message board for sharing thoughts
and ideas as you work through the project.

Kits are also available for this workshop once again through Cocoa
Daisy
. This kit is not required but meant as a way for you to gather
all the supplies together from one place.

Due on Valentine's Day...how sweet. My parents were married on Valentines day in 1981...I don't know if it was just because it was a Saturday or so my dad would have one last date to remember!

Very fun stuff, Ali! I just had to get those Bingo Cards...I've got quite a collection of them now :) I like your idea of using them as a Valentine's Day card. My boys don't like "frou-frou" stuff, so this will work out perfectly!

I refused to wear or own anything pink (comes from being a farm girl who'd rather work cows than do "wifey" stuff) Then I got married and decided I wanted a little pink. Now, I say, embrace the pink, go all in! I made a grand statement once before I had any kids that I wasn't doing the "princess" or pink thing with my little girl. And now? We are hip deep in princesses and pink is all over the place. I'm a displaced farm girl who operates power tools and does the "wifey" stuff. It works for me.

Loved reading your entry this morning. Ice and snow in WNC so get to stay home and watch the inauguration! Mainly interested in Obama's address, hearing Maya Angelou's poem and the others who will speak. Need to be active today so will probably try to do some early spring cleaning.
Also wanted to share that my "big" girl (she's five feet tall) will be 24 on Feb 20 and her due date was Valentine's Day. She and her 19 year old sister (also 5' tall) are such blessings in our life. Will continue lifting up your birth and delivery in my prayers. Enjoy your day.

A technical question: how did you add the cool menu bar at the top of your blog?

Brittany - it's one of the features that typepad offers. I just got added to the "new" platform and it is an option under the design/content section.

Ali, thank you so much for your blog. Your writing has such a peaceful vibe for me. I'm not a scrapper. I am a very, very new blogger. Thank you for giving the great instruction that makes every project you present seem really do-able. Your ideas bleed into my formatting and design tasks at work and now there are percolating thoughts about projects that I would like to do someday. I check your site daily for inspiration and am already anticipating (selfishly) withdrawals when your daughter arrives. :) I love that her due date is Feb. 14. How fantastic and lovely. I'll be praying for her safe arrival and a great transition home for the whole family. Take care.

I'm sitting in front of my computer right now watching CNN.com with NPR on the radio. My kids are watching Dora. And I am so grateful for my life right now. And so hopeful! My Mom gave me the Cocoa Daisy kit for Christmas. And I just bought some stamps for the project yesterday. I can't wait to get started!

Feb 14! My oldest was due on that date 30 years ago. (Her name is Alli)But she didn't arrive until March 4. 18 days late. Doctors won't let anyone go that late anymore. She just had her first baby Dec 17 and they induced after only 4 days late.
Good luck to you. No matter when she arrives, she will be beautiful!

Thanks for all of the love related things that you are highlighting. I am making a book sort of like the December Daily to document all of the fun plans we will be doing as my oldest will be married next Feb. I bought a sheet of that polka dot transparency and the one with hearts too!
I am also working on a spinner. I am doing a Names of God challenge this year and besides putting fun pictures of my family one section will be the 4x6 pages I do for the challenge. Thanks for such fun projects and ones that can be adapted to almost anything!~
