sigh, if only we had pretty tin cans like that. ours look far too commercial to look that elegant. **must flea market some**

yep, I'm eagerly awaiting seeing the everyday. my mailbox is light post-domino. only getting bon appetit, and let's face it ... i don't really need too much inspiration in that area.

ali, thank you.THANK YOU.thank you. for the link about sensory friendly movies. i clicked over and read it and instantly began crying. people are finally starting to "get it". i have a daughter (just two days younger than simon) who suffers from Sensory Integration Dysfunction making a movie going experience impossible to enjoy.....until now.

I thought it was the coolest thing. We have taken Simon to a bunch of movies but struggle with the amount of noise he makes :).

Thanks for sharing, Ali. I have already forwarded two of the links to online communities (AP slightly crunchy homeschoolers, and homeschooling creatively). Going to our blog is a great "pick me up" on the tough days, and icing on the good ones.

I am also thankful for the AMC Sensory Friendly Film info!! So excited to try it out and not worry about our son making his loud (but happy) noises and not sitting still. We've tried movie theaters twice, but found it much, much easier to just wait for the DVD.
    Thanks again!

    Thanks for these links!
I've spent an inordinate amount of time on SimpleMom today, and I'm not even a parent. And I love, loved that pillow. Somehow J's blog fell off my regular rotation. Thanks for the reminder to add her back!

Thanks for the links! I discovered the playing for change cd last night and LOVE it! We have the sensory friendly films here and several of the kiddos that I work with have gone with their families. The parents love it and say the whole family can go to a movie and not have to worry about someone taking the special needs child out every few minutes or having major meltdowns before the movie even begins.

I think this makes it official... that pillow was THE best idea I've had. And all because I didn't want to use my stash. This might be advanced rationalization on my part but I think it justifies the hoarding. Just a little. : )
Thanks for the love, XO jamaica
