So Very Thankful
For a weekend away with family. For laughter. For good food and cold
drinks. For cameras that capture more than I could ever remember. For little kids. For the ocean and fresh salty air. For
exploration. For movies about the cycle of life. For getting out of
the house and away from the routines of our everyday. For Grandparents. For
tall grass. For secret gardens. For picnics. For conversation. For hugs
and kisses. For sunshine. For possibilities.
Those are gorgeous photos. I love the photos with you wearing your sweet little Anna, I wore my Abbey until she was about 3 in just about every way I could rig it. Oh how I miss that! She's 12 now and I can just pick her up to my hip for a few moments if she jumps. lol Luckily she is a huge snuggler and my lap is still her favorite place to sit. Thanks for bringing back such beautiful memories. Hugs, Christine

Looks like a great weekend!
Thanks for letting us peek into your life. I started reading your blog a few weeks ago. I really like this kind of posts, where the pictures tell the story, and the pictures are supported by just a few words/comments. I am new to scrapbooking, will do it all digitally, and this is definitely a style I might use...

That baby carrier looks hard to do... how long did it take you to master that?

It does take a bit to figure out how to put it on...but once you do it is really comfortable. It took maybe three or four times before I felt like I knew what I was doing.

It also helped to watch the videos on their site and on you tube.

My advice to a scrapbook beginner is that you can start simply. You need paper or cardstock, adhesive, a paper cutter and some pictures. For titles and journaling, use your computer or handwrite on solid cadstock. Start small, but just start!! thanks for your inspiration Ali.

Anna is so cute! I am wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing what kind of baby wrap you were using with her in those pictures. Or any links to some that you've liked and used. Thanks! :)

Thanks, Ali! After I posted, I saw that you had already responded to other posters, but I appreciate you letting me know. Just found out I am pregnant today(!) and that totally caught my eye. :)

I am just wondering how you tied Anna up in your sling that way? Odd question, I know. But I have had the hardest time putting Milo in his sling -- he is only a few days younger than Anna and when I use the sling the way they recommend, it tends to fall off my shoulder and he doesn't like it very much. They way you have her in yours looks secure and I am sure he would like it much better. Thanks!
