Around here.
• Being silly. Hard not to be with two silly kids.
• Marveling at Anna's ability to get her toes to her mouth.
• Doing a trial run of Aperture. Seeing if their claim of making it "easier to manage massive libraries" is really true.
• Cooked a marionberry crisp last night. Ate too much.
• Waiting to see if Anna's eyes are going to stay blue.
• Trying to be patient while Simon takes literally an hour to eat his meals ("put your bottom in the chair" is being said way too often).
• Enjoyed the new Harry Potter movie. Deciding whether to take Simon or just wait until it is out on video. Put the last book on my bedside table to re-read.
• Thinking about my 12 stories. It's likely that they will be used in my upcoming Yesterday & Today class for Big Picture (will post more when I know info on sign-up dates, etc). I was working on content last Friday when the 12 story question came to mind - it fits well with my goals/mission for the class (and is motivation for me to get them done).
• Eating blueberries. It's amazing how much better they are when they are in season.
• Looking forward to seeing my siblings and their families soon.
Gorgeous snapshot of your life :) And what is it about the number 12 ? It has so much more appeal than 10 :)

fun photo!
Do you realise kids used to have to stand at the table during meals in former centuries? As long as he stays at the table and eats or talks with a pause to eat once in a while... Maybe you can do something special with his chair to make it more fun to sit at it, a fun pillow or some decoration that will stay on as long as he sits down?

With my little girl a few months behind Anna, I love seeing what is to come--especially with the brother-sister relationship. Too cute!

Wonderful toe picture!
A friend of mine got a textured cushion for her son (from a therapy catalog)several years ago. For some reason it helped him stay in his seat (esp. at school)and concentrate better.

After HP6 I also got out book 7 and started re-reading. It was like I couldn't remember what happened next. At the pool, I saw a lady also reading book 7! Loved the movie but it left me hanging. Also had a loud guy behind us that felt it was ok to talk about this movie during the movie.

Oh and I also wanted to add...it is so nice to know that I am not the only Mom with a boy who can't sit still at dinner. :)

I love that top photo - so fun. And I made a peach crisp yesterday - absolutely delicious, if I do say so myself. :)

right there with you on the blueberries. Please post a review of the photo program once you've had time to use it and experience it. Would love to hear your opinion on it.

I am a big Aperture fan. The videos on the Apple site were helpful as I was learning. Have fun!

that photo of your three just made me sigh...our quiver is full, but i still miss those simpler baby times...yeah, i can't believe i just said that either...they are simpler in a different way.
and my daughter has the same staying-in-her-seat-and-eating-in-a-timely-manner-issue too. it's just nice to know we are not alone...and that this too shall pass.

Oh, Ali, you are killing me. One of the things I miss most in my relocation from Eugene to Utah is the summer fresh fruit (especially Lonepine Farms and the blueberry bushes in my Eugene backyard I left behind). Marionberries make me homesick. Please enjoy for me!

And Gramma Pati is waiting to see if Anna is going to have strawberry blonde hair coloring....

I love the picture of the 3 of you on the floor. Fresh fruits and vegetables from the local farms are the best this time of year! Walla Walla Sweet Onions and Hermiston Melons are my favorite!
I would say that Harry Potter might be a little much in the theater for Simon.
I'm also glad I'm not the only one telling my son he needs to sit down at the dining room table while he eats :)
Hope you have a blessed day!

We're famous for saying "Put Your seat on the seat" around here lately, too.
And we're not alone, from reading all the posts. Kindred company...

I found Aperture too hard to get started on. I'm sticking with Lightroom it seems so much user friendly. I hope it works out for you and you can make a easy to use class for us dummies on Big Picture!

Ali, ACDSee is also a great for managing massive libraries of photos and digital supplies, and is delivered in MAC or PC format. Still thinking on the 12 layouts... You might just have tempted me enough to join your class! Have a great week.
