December Daily 2009 : Day 17

DAY SEVENTEEN

17_DD_3

Day Seventeen features the back of the partial circle image so I decided to go for another photo enlargement. I love this "everyday" shot of Chris, Anna and Lily. Anna has a huge smile on her face that is just awesome.

I added machine stitching in red about the outside of the image - looks great on this side and on the other side.

The journaling for Day Seventeen is all about how we don't have our living room tree yet (we got it this past weekend). Journaling block is from my Reflections Journal Card set at Designer Digitals. Stamps are SEE AND STAMP TRANSPARENT STAMPS Alphabet & Numbers Set. Rhinestone tree is from Basic Grey. Red ink is an old one from Close To My Heart called Cranberry.

Here's the original:

Day17
Awesome big glitter dot paper from Making Memories. Scallop edge created with the Fiskars Apron Lace punch. The backside of this isgreen flocked pattern paper from Art Warehouse. Those two patterns are simply glued back to back.

I have a process question, which may be a little odd, but I'm new to this creative life documenting game. But I noticed that in most of your journaling for December Daily the intended audience is your children, as in the writing is directed to them, and is not merely a reflection of your own experience. Is there a particular reason you choose to direct the writing to them, as opposed to yourself or a more generic reader? And do you do always journal with your children as intended audience or just with December Daily?

    HI Ali
Nice seeing LILY again in some photos. was going through one of your books with the layout of Simon and Lily and how much she taught him...and was wondering if she is still around! Hope to see you in South Africa sooner than later!
