December Daily 2009 : Day One

01_DecemberDaily2009

WELCOME TO DECEMBER DAILY 2009

Here's to keeping it simple: a photo, a few words, and a mini flash card from Kari Craft all tucked into the pocket of my album.

I may add something from later today on the back of this photo or I will use the back as part of Day Two. I am thinking about stitching along the top after I make something for the back.

Here's what the page looked like before adding the content:

I just wanted to write a quick note of thanks to you. I am so darn excited about this project. I love the simplicity and quickness of it, that I am slowing down this month, and that I am recording our stories of the holiday season. Thanks so, so much. My Day One is here: http://lifemadecreations.blogspot.com/2009/12/december-daily-no-1.html

A Lego advent calendar???!!!! That's awesome!!! I'm getting one for next year! I did the same type of pic for day one. We have a snowman calendar where you put the snowflake in his pocket. Not as exciting as Legos thats for sure! :)

    I love how it looks!
I forgot to take a picture yesterday
of them decorating the mantle and opening up their ADvent calendars! oops!
I guess when it comes right down to it, I haven't even made the album yet anyway! I did end up doing it last year, just not exactly how I wanted to.
    goodness, time moves too fast!
    thanks for sharing!

I'm new to your blog, so you may have already answered this question, but HOW do you change the color on your overlays??? I can't find an option in Photoshop to adjust the color. Your "Dec 1" is white here and the ones I downloaded are all black. Help!

I too have never used Photoshop or done any digital scrapping. I really liked the look of the overlay used on this page and purchased it online yesterday. I do have Photoshop and spent a few hours last night trying to put this overlay on my 4X6 photo. I didn't have any luck. Can anyone provide simplified instructions on how to do this? My photo is in the organizer and I have unzipped the overlay so I can open it and see it in Photoshop. I just can't get it to show up on top of the photo. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! Didn't realize how difficult going digital would be.

Thank you so much for your donations. My 7 year old has been living with juvenile diabetes since he was 4. We pray daily for a cure and the JDRF is the greatest research organization out there. Good luck Becca. I hope you raise LOTS of money!

Thanks for the inspiration. I am doing a December Daily for the first time.
I did our Advent picture in the morning and had it all ready to put into the book last night. However, I ended up having an unexpected experience last night. I get to decide or add another picture on the back.
This is so much fun! Thanks again.

Ali, how do you find all these great little shops, that sell such useful stuff for scrapbookers, on Etsy. If I try to search on paper goods, I get sucked in for hours.
