One Little Word : 2010 Word List
Image created via Wordle.
I spent a couple hours yesterday going back through all the comments listing your one little words and the reasons/thoughts behind them. It's always so cool to see all these words listed together. I am working on a layout for my word this year and hope to share it next week.
Below, the words. If I accidentally missed yours please add a comment below and I will add it to the list (I am updating throughout the day). These words are beautiful and powerful and subtle and really can make a difference in your life. Cheers to 2010.

One of the big things I noticed as I read back through all the words
yesterday is that most people want to make some sort of change in their
lives such as a subtraction or an addition. You might be interested in checking out Leo Batuba's (Zen Habits) new blog about habits
called 6 Changes.
My word for 2010 is IMPORTANT. It's not on your list. I LOVE papercrafts, cooking, decorating, going to the gym, sewing, the list goes on...I wake up everyday so excited to do something I love to do. But sometimes it's overwhelming...my husband constantly reminds me to do what is important...the gym is my most important of all things to stay healthy to be able to enjoy all the rest. Yesterday I cleaned, cooked a yummy dinner out of my daughters new High School Musical cookbook, croteched at basketball practice, made it to the gym and was happy helping my kids after school with their homework...I did everything that was important to me for yesterday and my family.

Thanks for posting the "cloud" of words. Can we use it in our own journaling? I have a vision of that as a background....... with my own word superimposed over it. Again, thanks for all the inspiration.

I don't think I submitted prior, however my word for 2010 is build. I used the word build throughout my goals this year. (Build relationships, knowledge, strength & endurance, my business, balanced meals, and an organized home.) Thanks for the continued inspiration. I'm publishing a blog post later today.

My word is 'enjoy.' My sister made a comment on Christmas about me, saying, "I don't think I know anyone else who hasn't changed since childhood when it comes to Christmas." I took that as a compliment. I may be past my 20's with children of my own, but I still wake up early, excited to see what Santa brought and jumping with joy at the thought of seeing everyone open their presents.
My goal this year is to find that excitement in other areas of my life, not reserving it for once a year... to truly enjoy life!

My word is "Integrity." Being forthright and honest, with others, with myself, and always being true to myself. Living a life that I can be proud of.

Wow, how amazing to see all these powerful words in one place.
Thank you for bringing this together every year. I love the "extra" links you have given us... esp the making your word into action type ones...
I have already begun this year with a fresher outlook and passionate journey approach to life.
Thanks Ali!

Ali, Could you add my one little word? I chose Celebrate. On my blog, I've used your ideas as well as those of Christine Kane to start better exploring my word. I think I'm getting somewhere and have been looking into ideas to "do more" with my word. I hope I can be a help to someone in 2010. There are lots of reasons to Celebrate!

Wisdom...as in "the Wisdom to know the difference" I am a bit high strung, and have really been trying to focus on the Serenity prayer over the past year. I have come to realize that last line is really the most important - all the serenity and courage in the world does you no good if you don't know when to use which. So this year, Wisdom is my prayer and my focus.

My word for 2010 is heart. One thing I learned while taking your yesterday and today class was that when I looked back at my scrapbook pages the journaling was very info related. There wasn't a lot of "me" on the page. So this year my goal is to get whats in my heart out there. Whether it is on my pages, through my actions or in my spoken words.
How inspiring to see all of these words grouped together - like a cloud of support and unity.
Thanks Ali.
Debbie.

That's awesome!
I thought I had commented with a word before - but maybe not. If it's not too late please include my word - it's REST.
There are so many aspects of that word I want to explore this year. So many aspects that I need to focus on for my life.
Thank you!

Hi Ali. You're terrific. What a great motivator and life guru you are for all of us. Will you add my word---SEEK. This year I want to seek understanding, seek knowledge, seek my path, seek all that's good in life, seek...
Thanks. You're the best.

I've told everyone else but not you that my word for 2010 is Manage...I need to manage my time, health and home better. I wrote a blog post with a link back to you and I've had a lot of comments from friends and family who are participating in one way or another. One of my friends decided that her word for the year was shopping...I laughed and said that might not qualify! I love your blog and the insight and creativity you bring us! Happy New Year Ali!
