Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.

In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

I chose peace for my word this year. 2008's word was charmed and 2009's word was grace. I think this year I am ready for peace. I posted my choice on my blog yesterday. Each week I am going to post a quote regarding peace that inspires me. In the weeks that I have the time I also plan on making word art out of the quote so that I spend more time with it and thinking about it. I like to put word art on my pages and then make my pages my wallpaper on my computer. Little by little peace will fill my life.

What amazing, amazing giveaways! Thanks to you & your sponsors for the chance to win.
I'm using "active" as my main word and joining you with "story" as a second word. I have to become more active again. Some family situations helped throw me off track with my exercise routine over the past 6 months and I must get back into one. It makes me feel so much better so it's time. I took your BPS class and loved it so I'm feeling like story should be in their somewhere also since the class had such a huge impact on me.

My word is MAINTAIN. Yesterday, I made piles of like items on my dining room table. These piles are for finishing my December Daily album. I put scraps into a baggie for use next year and stored the things (more patterned paper, tags, word stickers) I have already used and will not need. I also set up a box for my tools (glue, ruler, glue dots, stamps, ink) and have that at the ready for any of the remaining layouts.
    Thanks, again, Ali.

My word is "Balance". I have a 2 year old and another baby due in May. My husband and I both work full time and overall have a busy life. My word reminds me that my family always comes first and to make sure that I am present (emotioanlly AND physically) with whatever I am doing.

I have not settled on a specific word but do know that rather than thinking about doing something (anything) I will DO it.

My word is POSITIVE. I want to get all the negativity out of my life and become for positive. If someone or something becomes negative in my life, I will try to not get worked up and act on it.

Hi Ali! My word for 2010 is "aware." The action associated with my word is to live with more awareness on a day to day basis rather than just going through my life doing the things that I have always done. Thanks for the chance to win!

My word for 2010 is CALM. For me, this year is going to be all about learning to say no, finish the projects I already have, and have time to just slow down and enjoy life! I made a great word collage on wordle.net and printed it off. I haven't decided where I'm putting it yet, but it will go somewhere I will see it daily.
Great giveaways! And thanks for the inspiration of One Little Word. I'm so excited to try this idea this year.

I don't have a word for the year. But my resolution is to move it more! I've been too lazy for too long and need to become more active. I want to find some fun things that I can do every day and work this body.

I'm still working on my word of the year...I downloaded the worksheet you referenced and I'm letting the ideas "percolate" The words I"m leaning toward are "FOCUS" "STREAMLINED" & "SIMPLIFY" I feel like my life travels in all different directions without any real sense of completion, and I want to improve that! I really love your digital overlays!

my word is courage, and courage for me this year is to pursue my dream of becoming a jazz singer by applying for several different schools even though auditioning is one of the scariest things I know. courage, courage!

I need to focus more on my health this year, losing weight, eating right, exercising more... if I'm not well, everyone in my family suffers and that just isn't right. So for me, it's focusing on me this year.

It was really a toss-up between STRONG and FOCUS -- but having studied the definitions for both, I believe that FOCUS is my true word. The synonym for FOCUS us center, heart, core. So my action is to take steps to make God, not me, the center, heart, core of my life -- my FOCUS. And today that begins with prayer.

One of my resolutions is to scrap more, and an action I will be taking to make sure that happens is printing my pictures as they are available so that they are ready to be scrapped as I have the time.

I wasn't gonna do the whole word thing, but I kept seeing it EVERYWHERE in blogland and a word just came to me without even thinking about it. GO! That's my word for 2010 and it means so much. I want to put up a vinyl cutout on the fridge that says GO. So when I want a "little" snack, this word will be in my face saying go away from here or GO take a walk or GO to your crafting room. I would love to have that necklace on when I have a chance to share my faith with someone. It can remind me to GO spread the word of God's love. And instead of just blurfing around looking at great projects, I will be motivated to GO make my own and even GO submit them to calls. Ahhhh, a little scary, but so very thrilling!! Here's to a year of GOing.

I am focusing on the journey rather than the destination. So I plan to scrap and preserve our memories simply this year instead of racing to finish a book or layout. I will scrap when I can instead of it becoming a job. I want it to be fun again
