Home Front Giveaway

SC_JANReveal_Newsletter1

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.

One person will receive the January main kit from Studio Calico.

The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.

At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Here's a bit about Lisa and her business:

When
California girl and young mom, Lisa Leonard decided to start her small
jewelry business five years ago, she had no idea how things would take
off.  With a fresh perspective and an artist’s heart she set about
making jewelry that could not be found anywhere else.  Her
hand-stamped, sterling silver jewelry is setting the trends and is
loved by women all over the world.

Her hand-wrought creations have been featured in several
national magazines, such as Parenting Magazine, Pregnancy Magazine,
Victoria Magazine and Wondertime. Online outlets are singing the
praises of Lisa Leonard Designs, including Cookie Magazine and
Glamour.com. Celebrities also love her line, including Josie Bissett,
Jason and Naomi Priestly and Jennie Garth.

Each piece is hand-cut, hammered, stamped, polished and
drilled with care in her California workshop.  You’ll find the perfect
gift for a friend, grandmother, sister or of course, yourself!  And
don’t forget dad or baby.  Lisa offers custom keychain and baby spoons
that will warm the heart.

My word of the year is action. I intend to be motivated at all things, be it, putting things away, exercising, doing something. I've started with removing paper clutter on my desk, and it's about time!

My word for this year will be WORK. Hopefully finding some for my husband and children, keeping it for my son and expanding mine with my more scrapbooking workshops. However I will also be working at relationships between family members and catching up with friends.

I haven't chosen a "word" yet...but my goal for 2010 is to run a half-marathon! I have always wanted to do one and this is the year!!!!!! So, perhaps my "word" should be "action"!

I don't know for sure, but I think my word will be "manage." My family has lots of changes going on this year, our second baby girl arrived in October, my husband is graduating from Pharmacy school in May, we're buying property and moving our life to a home, etc. With all the change comes lots and lots things to manage: my body, our health, our home, our budget, etc. I'm looking forward to the challenge!

My word for this year is "risk"---a scary word for me. One thing I am going to do this year is to go on a mission trip with some ladies I don't really know that well--to Peru!! We will be working with women and children in the villages. Besides the financial risk (I've been saving for months now), I've never really been out of the country except just over the border, so that's a risk for me, too, but I can't wait!

my word for this year is family. I want to go out with my 3 lil ones and my husband and do something together as a family at least twice a month. Not only me and the kids or hubby and the kids or me with one kid while the other two are at home with daddy, but together, the 5 of us, even if it is a real challenge sometimes. thanks for the wonderful giveways!

My word is "focus"--seeing a project through to its completion instead of jumping to another--decluttering to keep distractions away--keeping with a workout schedule.

My word was simply "healthful".. this is my year to take charge of me! With all that has gone on with my family and friends, it is time I take control of my own health! Yesterday (the first) I took my first steps - literally- to walking every day... no matter what the weather!

Wow! All of the giveaways are fabulous today! I'd be thrilled to win any one of them. I would especially like to win one of Lisa's one word necklaces. I *love* those! I am still making a final decision on my word for this year. It will either be thankfulness or story. Both have deep meaning for me and both challenge me to live authentically and purposefully, giving thanks for the rich life I have been given. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I haven't figured out my one little word yet. I've given myself until the end of January to figure out my word and get my goals clearly defined. I have an idea of what I want to do already, I just need to take the time to put it to paper. My word needs to be something like done, or complete, or maybe accomplish. I'm still working on it. I decided that intention or desire are not enough. I need something representing follow through.

My word is REFINE. I chose REFINE because I like the idea of continually looking at myself and finding those areas that need to be refined/made better. When metals are refined the impurities are removed and the final state is more pure/better than the original. I intend to approach this year open to refining any part of myself and/or my life to make it better. I'm excited and ready to be completely honest with myself and get to work!
    Thanks! Karen U

My word for the year is Commitment - to my 30 year marriage as we become empty nesters, to my projects/personal goals of fitness and scrapbooking (making time for myself), to our home and family - supporting and maintaining where needed... to my belief in the beauty and possibility in the world around us.

My 2010 word is Embrace. The one thing I'm going to do is make time and make effort to go to a local craft night that is held weekly to meet some new friends and have some new experiences. My DVR and husband will survive without me!

My word is RESTORE. 2009 has been a depleting year for my family. I'm about restoring health, calm to our home and more time on relationships.
