Three people will win a spot in Tracey Clark's upcoming class at Big Picture Scrapbooking called Picture Spring.

From Tracey: If someone would have told me what I know today, I’m not sure I would have believed them. That the dew of morning could be magic. That a brand new bud, longing to bloom could cause for celebration. That a cup of tea could whisper an enchanting tale. That what was on my cutting board could bring me back to center. That a dandelion could restore my hope. It’s as though the entire world around me has woken up as have I, as I look both inside myself and out and feel as if every blade of grass, every shard of light is a brand new muse.

It is all of these things that prompted me to create Picture Spring; my new online at Big Picture Scrapbooking. A 30 day soulful seasonal celebration of these muses and using our cameras to seek them out. For all the details on registration on how you can awaken your senses and your lens this spring, visit me over there. I’m giddy with what we’ll discover together.

Picture Spring is a 30-day guided e-class at Big Picture Scrapbooking that will encourage and inspire you to use photography to celebrate the season of new beginnings while honoring and nourishing your creative spirit. With a new email and fresh perspective in your inbox each morning, you'll use the daily photo prompt to help open your mind and guide your lens to see and capture your life and the world around you. Whether you are an expert photographer, or just starting out, this project will help you see things in a completely new light. Taught by Shutter Sisters founder Tracey Clark, Picture Spring will offer a warm, welcoming Shutter Sisteresque invitation to discover the season; camera in hand.

my current fave pic was taken from the dock at my cottage, It’s a tight shot of the edge of the dock, looking directly down, with the ring (for tying boats up) in the right-hand third of the shot. I love the grain of the wood and the way the water is so reflective and still when the ice has just receded from the edge of the lake!

My 10 yr old is swimming this weekend at SE sectionals. Her name was on the score board yesterday and she was so excited to see up there. Her Coach came over and was laughing about it. I took a picture of her “pointing” to her name on the board. Very cute and it will definately be my Life Project POD.

My current favorite photo is a candid snapshot of our little family taken last year, right after my husband returned from a year deployment to Afghanistan. As we prepare for him to leave for another deployment later this month, it reminds me that although it may be difficult at times, we made it through then, and we will make it through now.

My current favorite photo is one of my four year-old son bungee bouncing on an attraction at an open air flea market in my neighborhood. We went last week and there was this apparatus and he actually did it! We were surprised since he’d always been scared of bouncy things/trampolines and such previously. I caught him way up in the air, with his mess of hair flying in every direction! It was great.

My favorite pic of the moment is a photo of my then 11 year old boy. It was taken on a cool, late winter day on the beach. He is facing the ocean with his back to the camera. I love it as he is captured mid-step and he looks so small against the backdrop of the breaking wave. He is wearing winter clothes and the sun is low in the sky. I see the boy but also a glimpse of the man he will be.
Thanks for a chance to win one of these cool prizes.

My favorite photo – that’s a tough one. It would have to be a (very) old photo of me and my brother. He was still shorter than me at the time, and I’ve got a protective arm around him. This was well before the teenage fighting years, when any car trip reverberated to the sounds of “he’s on my side…; he’s touching me!”

I took a picture of my daughter and the other two bridesmaids at my sister’s wedding. They are all gazing into a beautiful fountain. It had just finished drizzling and gave the picture a very surreal quality. It is not posed and that makes me love it.

My brother and his family were here this summer for a very infrequent visit from Indonesia. I now have a picture of my entire family which is extremely important to me because my mom is going to die soon. It means a lot to me that she was able to see my brother. it also means a lot that I have that last image of her and our entire family.
