Home = lego time.

IMG_0970

Home = laundry time.

IMG_0972

Home = dinner & exercise time.

Today my main thought is that I love coming home. I love being back in our space even in the midst of laundry and lists and all that other good stuff of our life.

One more day for most of us in the documentation phase of this project. What other things can you capture today that might round-out your week? Have you missed anything that is a really big part of your life right now?

Have a wonderful Sunday.

    Yesterday was a blur for us too. We were at my son's school at 7 am and got home around 4 (but it felt longer!) for his school's annual Spring Fling. We helped set it all up, manned our booth and then helped tear everything back down again. Man we were exhausted! We all came home and lounged while either reading, watching t.v. or napping.
    I've got to load up my pictures, I'm hoping I'll have enough, it was kind of hard to get photos while moving and doing so much! I know I don't have that many like you did for your busy Friday...not sure what to do.

    It is fun to look at your week. The Nines looks very cool. Wish I had an excuse to go stay there but we live in the Portland area. Actually our sneak getaway is usually up the Columbia Gorge for a night at the Bonneville Hot Springs or a night at Skamania Lodge. As long as there is a pool, my daughter is happy. LOL. I adore to be surrounded by the nature in those areas and the scenery is outstanding and we only have to drive about half an hour! Perfection.
    And I get my own unique perspective of you now from a meeting I had with you when you were on the cusp of becoming 'famous'. Tracy Kyle was there too. We had lunch together with a group of scrapping women during a CK convention here in Portland. Remembering bits of a small chat we had about motherhood and you only having Simon back then, I am so happy you now have Anna too. It is fun to watch where life has taken you and your family. Since that time I went 100% digital and have been designing happily for several years. And I enjoy peeking at your blog and then seeing what new discoveries the blog hopping that follows usually take me. LOL. (I've lost hours of a day that way!!!)
    Wow, all this chat and I haven't even had my morning caffeine fix.... watch out world. LOL LOL

    Ali- I notice that you take most of your pics horizontal. When you start to put them in your baseball pages they obviously have to be rotated. Do you take any vertical pics, and if not, do you just rotate the pic and not worry about what you may lose in the process?

    Heather, you are a perfect person to document things. Get out there and photography gas prices, the price of lettuce, your dishes, your entry hall. I would love to know these things from 40 years hence. Good luck

    Good question Laura!
    I do not have Photoshop (yet) and I am pretty concerned how my picture will look after cropping them to fit the baseball pages. I uploaded and ordered my first two days from scrapbookpictures.com and utilized some of their 4 x 4 size options but I am not sure how that will work. I do not print myself, so maybe the cropping will be part of what makes this album different. A glimpse, not always a complete picture.
    When you look at how professionals photograph food and parties for magazines, I noticed they often use quirky angles and partial photos of food or plates to mix things up.

    I've hotel'd in my home town many times now! Do it in your off-season when it's cheap. It's a very nice and no-pressure kind of get away.

    I've really enjoyed reading through your posts this week. And I'm glad I've captured our week as well. There are a few things I'd like to get today that have been missed--Mere looking in the oven, on the stairs, and me. I've only taken two shots of me this week. :)
    Thanks again for the inspiration to do this project.

    I almost never take vertical pictures - no reason why not I just don't naturally go that way. I am not worried about what will be lost - I will try to show that specifically when I put my album together this week so you can see how I decide to use which photo where.

    I cannot believe that I completed my week! I have started this project more than once in the past and never got further than a few days. This time, even though I slowed down a bit Wed & Thurs, I didn't stop altogether and I even wrote up something for each day. Hurray! I'm so pleased. Now the next challenge is getting this into an album in a timely manner.
    Thanks for being my catalyst!
