Anna At 19 Months
This little girl has such a fun personality just bursting at the seams.
This little girl loves to pull clothes off hangers and out of drawers. She loves to layer sweaters and coats and take shoes on and off. She even likes to put on skirts over dresses if given the opportunity.
This little girl is very good at saying yes, no, mama, papa, meow (sounds like mao), and "na na" (her name). This little girl understands much more than she can say with words.
This little girl loves to lay on her tummy in the bath and blow bubbles. And splash, splash, splash.
This little girl really likes popcorn, string cheese, cereal from Daddy's bowl, and apple juice.
This little girl, according to her brother, likes to play chase, play with her toys - like her kitchen and her groceries, and take long naps (he wants her to take long naps so he can get more time with Mom playing a lego game that's just too tough to play when she is up and about).
This little girl is interested in the potty.
This little girl strongly dislikes being confined to a chair at the table.
This little girl loves to have at least three books read to her before bed and then she likes to take them in her crib with her as she goes to sleep. When she wakes up she either looks at them again or throws them to the floor depending on her mood.
This little girl is awesome.
She's a cutie patootie too! :)

ali, she so reminds me of my ava in coloring/personality!
I remember 19 months of age, so very well! my oldest, savannah was 19 months and 2 days old when I had her baby sister. it was my very favorite age! they are so into learning about the world and so sweet! enjoy every second. my then 19 month old is almost 11 years old, and it went by in a blink! seriouslY!! I know everyone says that all the time, but it's true. One thing I can say, is I did enjoy every minute!!!
love the pictures of miss anna! she's beautiful!

Beautiful pictures. So precious.
Quick question...one thing I lack in my images is "ME". I'm the one who takes the picts all the time. I'm a single mom of two boys (10 yrs & 8 yrs) so I don't have a spouse around to ask to take pictures. I know children do have an "eye" for different things, should I show them how to use the camera? The shots of you and your children are fantastic - who's behind the lens for those?
Hi Diane - the one here was taken by Chris but I have lots that I have taken myself using the timer on my camera and a few that Simon has taken. I think it's an awesome idea to teach your kids how to use a camera - they may develop a life-long love :). From time to time Simon really enjoys using the camera - both the big + the smaller one.

Oh so precious. Such a sweet time to take in, breathe, and enjoy. And (at least for me) the best treasure is watching big brother care for & about his wee sister....takes my breath away here! :>

I just adore seeing your pictures of your daughter. There is something about her, her smile, her personality, her attitude that reminds me so much of my baby girl...who is nearly 26 now. I almost feel as I'm reliving my daughter's childhood through your pictures of Anna. One day soon you will be thinking, "how could my daughter be 26 already"...I know I do.
Thanks for sharing these, and returning me to those memories of my Christina!

Hi Ali,
I love reading about your family. The photo of you and Anna on the couch is great. Is that a pillow with the number 4 on it? Where did you get it?
Hi Sheri - that pillow came from Pottery Barn back in the spring I think.

My grand daughter is now over 2. I love this age. So much changes week to week. Her vocabulary is just exploding! I've now gone from being Gaga to being Grandma Bev and she says it at the beginning and end of every sentence when she is talking to or about me. It just makes me smile. I love this age!

Anna doesn't know any of us, but she still warms a spot in all our hearts as we watch her grow up. The picture of Simon with her is so sweet and caring. Enjoy your blessings--as we are--from afar.

I love that age--growing independent and at the cusp of so many changes. I am sure you are cherishing it all.
