Anna At 19 Months

This little girl has such a fun personality just bursting at the seams.

This little girl loves to pull clothes off hangers and out of drawers. She loves to layer sweaters and coats and take shoes on and off. She even likes to put on skirts over dresses if given the opportunity.

This little girl is very good at saying yes, no, mama, papa, meow (sounds like mao), and "na na" (her name). This little girl understands much more than she can say with words.

This little girl loves to lay on her tummy in the bath and blow bubbles. And splash, splash, splash.

This little girl really likes popcorn, string cheese, cereal from Daddy's bowl, and apple juice.

This little girl, according to her brother, likes to play chase, play with her toys - like her kitchen and her groceries, and take long naps (he wants her to take long naps so he can get more time with Mom playing a lego game that's just too tough to play when she is up and about).

This little girl is interested in the potty.

This little girl strongly dislikes being confined to a chair at the table.

This little girl loves to have at least three books read to her before bed and then she likes to take them in her crib with her as she goes to sleep. When she wakes up she either looks at them again or throws them to the floor depending on her mood.

This little girl is awesome.

Hi Shannon! It's from CB2 - it was in Simon's room in the other house but makes more sense in Anna's in this one: http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=170&f=5803

Ali, you have a beautiful family. Anna is so sweet, and Simon, well, he's just plain handsome. What a big guy! He reminds me of my own son, who is 14, and already 5 inches taller than my 5'7". Be assured that you will love it when your bigger-than-you boy will look down on you with a smile as he gives you a big hug! Children are forever precious. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

Ali, this little girl sounds just like my little girl who is 2 (25 months). I love how much of a personality she has too! Swims in the bathtub on her belly, reads books in bed, loves chase, and take clothes on and off. Wants to be a big kid and be at the table too!

Such a little sweetheart! Is Anna protesting her highchair? My DD hated the high chair at about the same age. We got her a Stokke Tripp Trapp, and haven't had a problem since. At 3.5 she still uses it (without being buckled in). It was expensive, but it is a piece of furniture that grows with them. Trying to decide if we will need another one for the little guy, so she can continue to use this. We have been very happy with it. http://www.stokke.com/en-us/highchair.aspx

I've looked at that so many times Jen - seriously. Might just have to get it. I was thinking that would also be something she could sit in next to the counter or island in the kitchen.

I am not sure if it is tall enough for sitting at counter height. I will check it out at lunch. We got a stool at ikea for $15 that she can stand on at the counter. She helps me make "panpakes" and lots of things at the island. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60178887 (She has fallen off a few times when she doesn't pay attention, but it was a TON cheaper than that "learning Tower" thing!)

We have one too and LOVE it! Never even used the traditional high chair we got as a baby present - this one is great - she pulls up to the table and eats WITH us!

Ali Thanks for sharing these moments of Anna with us. I have a child of 21 months and you have made me remember in a minute, all those little things every day of their little world and I excited. These experiences of just writing in a notebook to capture and to remember them later.
    Ali Thanks for your generosity

    regards

    Beatriz

Great series of photos and memories! My son is now 4 and I really miss those sweet times. I think I recognize one of his favorite pop-up books "Wheels on the Bus". We also have "Knick-Knack Paddywhack" by the same author!

Hi Terri - I'm thinking that those came from Land of Nod: http://www.landofnod.com/family.aspx?c=106&f=641. Paper Source also carries some http://search.paper-source.com/index/_/N-/Ntt-suitcase.

The photo of Anna "the explorer" looking out the window with the binoculars is so wonderful. The blinds are pulled just to the top of her hat so she can see through the window straight ahead, her stance is well-placed and solid, and she appears to be searching for something new and wonderful on the horizon. Such a grown up action from a lovely little girl. She will be a world explorer for sure! Thank you for sharing.....that photo made my day!
