I added a new 2-page layered template to my collection at Designer Digitals this past weekend: Love You Good.

LT378881The journaling used for my layout comes from a blog post in June: I Want To Remember.

I've got a bunch of blog posts on my list to turn into layouts. I'm finding a rhythm right now for documenting first with the words and a photo or two online and then translating the content into a layout when I have a chance. It's a process that's working for me right now.

Here's a close-up look at my sample (click to view larger):

    Hi Ali
Lovely. I just completed my first-ever 100% digital layout (am preparing a post about the experience) so I am looking at this one with fresh eyes.
Technically speaking, where do you stand on drop shadows? I struggled most with that decision and ended up using them on a few embellishments.
All in all, I like the digital process (especially because I am away from home w my laptop as my only "tool").
Oh, and your journaling style is so inspiring.
    Thanks,
    Denise

Hi Denise - at this point I'm not using them. I think there are definitely some embellishments that "should" have them (like a hanging tag) - it just feels strange if it doesn't have them. At this point most of the things I am using are still relatively flat -

Hi Ali, congratulations on your move!!! Are you staying close to where you are now? Seems like I was just reading about you moving into this house. Good luck with the packing and purging and I like many others can't wait to see how you turn this new to you house into your lovely familys home.

How do managed to MAINTAIN. You just returned from travel overseas with CHILDREN, you work, you scrapbook, you are packing to move. I know you posted not too long ago about unfinished business in the sink, but my question is how do you not get so overwhelmed or tired?
I love this layout. Anna is one cute little girl.

I am really tired right now - a day of packing and the general upheaval of a move is pulling me in lots of directions!
On a daily basis I definitely have help in the form of two excellent babysitters/friends. One of them was here with me all day and we tag-teamed packing and kid wrangling (and hugging and helping with video games, etc). Scrapbooking and the work I do here on my blog is my job + a big part of how I live my life...there's positives and negatives to that too :).
I used to get really, really tired until I found out that I had hypothyroidism (under-active thyroid)...I think the medicine I take for that has really made a difference in my level of tiredness. Exercising also seems to make a difference for me.

Thank you for the response. I guess I need to step it up a bit. I am so easily situated where I don't exercise on a regular basis. Last year I walked and rejoined yoga and I felt different. Summer then came and I decided to STOP because of being home with the kids. I am tired ALL the time or maybe unmotivated is a better word. I just feel lazy and going no where fast. I am getting better at least I am not falling asleep at red lights anymore. (adrenal fatigue will do that) I am in great healing hands now with my acupuncturist. I am feeling as if my sleepy me is starting to peek through this fog I have been in. I just always have admired you for who you are, for what you do, and I figured you would take the timeout to answer me and you did. Thanks.
