This One.

This one still wants to be Indiana Jones for Halloween but was happy to play a certain superhero throughout the weekend.

This one is definitely getting some joy from her perfectly-sized kitchen nestled in the corner of our adult-sized kitchen.

This one was inspired to go out and play baseball after watching It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

This one has a thing for stickers.

These two. A crazy pair who get even crazier as bedtime approaches. Last night there was chasing, splashing, yelling, laughing, tickling, jumping, and then finally reading as they started winding down.

It's been a crazy couple of months so I've kind of lost track of your blog. Things have settled down (for the moment) and I'm amazed at how much these two have grown and how much fun they are having!

So sweet!! I have a 5 (Christian) and 2 (Alivia) yr old and just love watching the weekend unfold into whatever shall happen. My daughter is so into her kitchen as well, and she's been making me lots of birthday cakes with ketchup :). My son is being a Bakugan for Halloween and has been running wild in his costume for a week now (getting our $ worth, hee-hee). Sometimes I wonder what amused me before they came along, I know it couldn't have been this entertaining! Thanks for sharing!! p.s. LOVED your article in Scrapbooks ETC this month. Just got it last night, and had to do a double take. Great stuff!!

    They are SO CUTE!

I have a 16-month old boy who is CONSTANTLY pulling all of our pots & pans out of the cupboards and pretending to cook. (I guess that is what happens when you let him sit and watch the Food Network with his daddy all the time.) Hmmm, wish our kitchen was big enough for a play set for him. GREAT IDEA!

"Those two" blessings of yours always put a huge smile on my face! Now that mine are 13 and 20, I'd give anything to relive some of the special moments you've described....the special moments don't end, but they sure are different.

My daughter will be 8 in a few weeks and my son just turned 1 - just about the same age difference as your two. There is something extraordinary about siblings with that age difference, isn't there? They seem to love each other a bit more authentically, laugh without fighting, accept each other for who they are, and just all out enjoy being the big/little sister/brother so completely. What a blessing it is, as a mom, to witness this!

Aaaah, the play kitchen! We have fond memories of our daughter's play kitchen in our kitchen. We would get regular cups of pretend tea and cakes. Enjoy them while they last.

I love seeing your everyday pictures of what the kids are doing. I love all the photos but that last one of the two of them is so precious. They are lucky to have each other. Thanks so much for sharing this with us Ali.

Great post - any chance you remember where the play kitchen came from?? We're looking for something similar for our little one and not having too much luck.
