Tuesday Morning In Photos

Around here just a touch of snow often results in a no-school day.

She was excited to have him home.

She caught him up on what's been happening on Sesame Street...

and Sid The Science Kid.

And then it was time to check out the white stuff.

It was cold. And icy.

They were happy to come back inside after a quick little visit to our neighbor.

And then she was ready to play in her kitchen while he played with legos.

We also had a quick visit from my Dad who drove over from the coast bearing a gift of fresh dungeness crab. One of the things he loves to do is to go crabbing - the other day he caught a bunch and cracked it all for us to enjoy at Thanksgiving.

My Mom sent me these photos (can you see that organizing might run in the family) of the picking process.

Thanks Dad! We wish you guys could be here for Thanksgiving!

Today I'm planning to spend some time in the kitchen making a couple things ahead of time for tomorrow: Pioneer Woman's mashed potatoes and her pecan pie, a chocolate pudding pie per Simon's request, and some crab dip.

Yummy crab would love some of that. Anna's outfit again is so pretty on her. Thanks for sharing your day with us, Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family in your new house.

I always love to see what you put on Anna - my little guy who is a little older than her is in-between sizes so it's always an adventure when it gets colder in Indiana!

As I read the comments on varying temperatures, I am envious. Up here in Canada we have had over 2 feet of snow for the last 2 weeks! Yesterday it was -26 degrees celcius...and we don't get a 'snow day'!

Wow - school's close down so easily in the USA. Here in Alberta our buses won't run if it is -40 (which is the same in celcius and fahrenheit), windchill is not a factor or the roads are extremly bad. This happens twice a year, maybe. The school's do not close ever.
    Happy American Thanksgiving!
