INSPIRING AS EVER! Thank you for adding your words. If by chance I missed your word or you posted it later in the day yesterday feel free to leave it in the comments here and I'll add it to this list.

There's still time to join the One Little Word class at Big Picture. Actually, registration will be open throughout the year for anyone who wants to join in 2011.

The word cloud above was created using Wordle.

thanks ali!! i didn't post my word, but i do see it there!
it's so fun to see everyone's choices. after reading other people's blogs about their word, i'm discovering that while our words are different, so many of our goals & hopes are the same. i just think that's so cool. we're similar but different.
can't wait to see more of everyone's work in the gallery!

[...] January 4, 2011 by jennifertobler Leave a Comment A couple of years ago, I ran across a post that wasn’t your typical New Years Resolution type posts.  Instead of focusing on a goal, the post encouraged people to focus on a word, or a theme if you will, for that year.  (This year’s post can be found here). DECIDE is my word and I didn't see it - and I joined up for the class last night. How could I not take a class by my favorite artist? Especially when I saw it was only $36!

By the way, I am the person who could barely speak when I saw you at Inspired last year. (I just like you knowing who I am!) I actually went to my workshop after that and started crying! LOL, I do have to say I am not normally that way ... but after a very intense creative day that is what happens when you see your 'hero' unexpectedly!

Dear Ali, I would love to take your OLW class but I can't. Because I don't have a word. I have searched and thought for weeks, been touched by the words of others, but have not found a word that honestly speaks to my own heart. I am certain that says something about me, but what that is, I am not quite sure. Maybe there's something wrong with me?

Deborah I honestly considered decisive because I feel so indecisive about picking OLW. :) I'm sure with some more time you will find the word that speaks to you. Good luck in your hunt.

Oh Deborah - there's nothing wrong with you at all! I bet one will come to you - there's no hurry. Sometimes we also have to simply consciously choose a word and then just start moving forward and see how it ends up working on our lives.

I love this post every year!

I'm struggling to choose between a few words this year:
    Productive
Organized (organized time, organized work, organized life)
    Enjoy

Perhaps I will pick Enjoy...with the idea that being productive and organized will help me enjoy my crazy life that much more! haha

My word for the year is memory.

The first half of the year I will be working on soaking up as many memories with my now only child (age 6, almost 7). The second half of the year we will add a new addition (!!!) and will work on building memories as a family of FOUR! --- Our dynamics will be like yours - two kids 7 years apart. Not sure if I am having a boy or a girl yet (my current is a boy).

Congratulations! My 2 kids are 5.5 years apart and the journey so far has been such a joy. For us it's been "just right" - not too close, not too far apart. :)

    My word is: NO.
This year I resolve to constantly remind myself that it's perfectly OK to say no to other obligations/opportunities in order to say yes to my husband, family, children, and even to say yes to myself!

I submitted my word a few days ago, but I didn't see it on your list. My word is COUTURE. I plan to sew up a storm in 2011 and make cool garments.

I've grown tired of looking frumpy (sweatshirts and jeans). And so, I wish to make cute skirts, dresses, and other surprises that my word will bring.

    Thanks for the joy, Ali.
