My word for 2011 is green. I am resolving to eat more green. To continue to make green (earth friendly choices) and to save more green as we near my husband's retirement.

Ali, forgive me if you've already answered this, but I can't find it: last year you gave us a link to a website that illuminated our word. I typed in "awaken" and got a beautifully illuminated little word. Can you give us that link again?

Hi Laurie - for some reason I can't remember what you are referencing. Let me look back through last years posts and see if I can find anything...

Moment. To be in the moment with my children and husband, to not be worried about what I should be doing or what isn't done. For all the precious 'moments' I have with my quickly growing kids- and the not so great moments. Slowing down moments before bedtime when my children want to tell me everything. Breathing deeply moments when there are lost mittens and conference calls that need to be dialed into. Prioritizing my moments and balancing what needs to get accomplished. Moments for myself. Moments- wonderful ones and not so great ones- that teach me to appreciate where I am at this exact point in my life- this brief, shining moment in this very precious life of mine.

I've had a really hard time choosing a word until Dawn in comment #3 pointed out that almost every letter of the alphabet has been represented. I looked and saw there are no words for K. The more I thought about it, this word speaks to me: KIND.

Yep, that's it. Kind to others, kind to myself, kind to the world.

    Thanks for the Wordle.

I love it. I was surprised to see k wasn't represented when I went back and looked at the "missing letters" as well.

I havn't posted a word yet but mine is going to be 'work'. Might sound kinda strange but I think it is really fitting for me right now. I really want to focus on "work(ing) out", "work hard a my relationships with my girls", focus on my daily "work (at home & at my job".
I love how you do this each year. Thanks so much it is really inspiring!

Very inspiring! I love the wordle- what a cool way to showcase all the words.
I'm wondering if someone might be able to help me out. I'm looking for a word that captures the idea of "enjoy the journey/ride". I haven't been able to narrow it down to one word. Any ideas?

Love the list of words. I actually changed mine; the more I began to think about what I wanted to keep in mind this year, I decided that I needed to go beyond focus, beyond simplify... I wanted something I could take action on. So I decided this year I would always keep concious of VALUE.

I want to explore and identify what is really of value to me, financially, ethically, physically, and in my surroundings.

Thanks Ali. Looking forward to putting my book together in class. :)
