Sponsor Giveaway | Mary Ann Moss
GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.
Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

I wish I had a spring cleaning tip. But, I'm drawing a blank. Cleaning is definitely not something I enjoy doing or would want to spend my time doing. And while I do not have a spring cleaning tip, it is the one time I do enjoy cleaning. Knowing it is a deep cleaning, and I do it with the windows open, I love it. And I always have to use lemon smelling cleaning products. Between the open windows and the lemon scent, I am blissed out.

My favorite is lemon. Thank you

I have to break projects into pieces AND make one of those pieces a quick matainence of the areas that have already been cleaned/decluttered...otherwise, I just move stuff from room to room :)

I have a box for things I'm not sure about, but can't bring myself to throw away - if I haven't looked in the box the next time I spring clean the whole lot gets thrown. It's a great way of making sure that I'm not hoarding things for the sake of it!
LOL I did that once, put a bunch of stuff in a box, labeled it w a date one year later and stuck it in the basement...2 yrs later I came across it and tossed it....not without some MIGHTY temptation to open and see what was inside :)

I love (and can't wait) for a warmer day to open all of the windows and just air the house out. It just hasn't been warm enough to do that yet :)

The class looks a really good way to spring clean stash. I don't spirng clean! So sorry no tips but I agree with other posters that lemon is just the best smell

I love to open up everything as well and let the air in. I love to wash all those cotton sheets and move from flannelette to cotton.Fresh from the clothes line

Looks like a great class! My favourite spring-cleaning tip is to open all the windows for a couple of hours. It's amazing the difference fresh air makes, particularly in the bedrooms!

After a long winter of keeping the cold out, my favorite start to spring cleaning is opening up the house. Let the fresh air in!

I love creating a list to work from, listing tasks and crossing off as they are completed. Taken as a whole, Spring cleaning can be overwhelming, but I like it broken down into a manageable list. Love seeing all those crossed off tasks on my list-and it's even something that can be included in a Project Life or scrapbook page when finished.

I always say that if I haven't touched it in a year, it should go. Use Craigslist to list all of your old summer stuff NOW so that you can sell it since people are looking for summer items now, like old kid's clothes.

I start by making a list, changing over all the bedding and wardrobes and cleaning from the top to the bottom. The smell of spring (if it EVER gets here) puts me in the mood to "get the winter out" of the house!

I use clear plastic boxes to seperate my supplies. I also label everything so when it's time to clean I know where everthing goes and it's much faster to clean plus the clear plastic makes it so you can see what you have.

My best tip is One thing at a time. My mom used to try to clean the whole huge apartment in one morning... Mission: Impossible.
I do a task/room at a time, and it works a lot better.
Now, even my mom does it like me :)

What a great class! I'm not sure I have a spring cleaning tip per se, but it's important to set aside some time and to work from top to bottom.

Open the windows...turn up the music...clean, clean, clean! :-)

I routinely "spring clean" by giving unused items to the Goodwill.

I keep a lot of seasonal things in plastic bins, and try to go through them before the season starts, look at what I don't want anymore and off to the charity shops they go. Otherwise, I just clean as I go all year. No special spring or fall cleaning.ymmv.

Take the energy you have and declutter and rid the house of anything "winter" in sight!

Take one drawer or cabinet a day and purge it. Breaking it into small increments makes it much more for doable for me.

This one is up my alley. Thanks.
I start with closets--transitioning winter to spring and sorting out.

Baking soda and vinegar. (Of course, that applies to more than just the spring variety of cleaning.) And get rid of as much stuff as possible first--leaves less to be "cleaned."

Clean out as you clean - feels good to purge while freshening everything.
