Thankful Thought | No.1
I love that when my parents come to visit my kids only want Grandma to put them to bed.
"Grandma do it." says Anna.
"Grandma!" calls Simon as he rounds the corner to go upstairs to his bedroom.
I'm so thankful for that relationship.
I'm starting a new occasional series called Thankful Thoughts and you're invited to join me.
Each time I post a Thankful Thought (a photo + a few words) I'll include a free numbered overlay download for you to add to your own photo. I'm also included a rounded-corner photo mask in this first download for those of you who'd like to have rounded-corners on your photo.
Download Thankful Thought | 001 here.
Also for this first download I put together a video tutorial on how to use the overlay and the rounded-corner photo mask.

Thanks for sharing, Ali! I love how Anna and Simon have a great relationship with their grandparents. It reminds me of the relationship I had with my grandparents!

Wow Ali what a great template. Thanks so much. You are so lucky to have your parents close to your kiddly winks. My Mum and Dad are over 1500miles away from my little poppet and I really get sad that they are missing out on her growing up. Thanks for the files they are great. Happy day to you - I am about to go to bed here in Australia.

Thank- you for the freebie - I love overlays. I grew up without grandpaprents and only realised my loss when I grew into my DH family - complete with 3 living grandpaprents ( all still going strong in their mid-90s...!) I too am SOOOO grateful that my DD is growing up with grandparents - they bring her such joy ...and vice-versa !!

This is so sweet and love the thankful idea. Thank you Ali for always inspiring us and helping us. My kids are lucky to have their grandparents around the corner. My dad even drops in unannounced and surprises them with pizza, movies, toys, dessert, and just hanging out. I always take his picture on those days and tell him he's my POTD for Project Life. Have a happy Friday and weekend with your family.

Thank you for being so generous. I total understand how you feel about your parent relationship with your children. I feel so lucky that my parents have a great relationship with my kids too. My dd is nine now and she doesn't hesitate to call her grandparents on the phone just to tell them how her day went. It's nice to know they have someone to go to besides my husband and I.

Thanks for the wonderful overlay. It's great that your kids get to enjoy their grandparents so often. I only saw my grandparents twice since they lived overseas, but they are great memories! Have a great weekend.

HI! So I really want to get into digital scrapbooking, but until we get a new computer and printer (ours are ancient) I am a bit nervous! Also because I've never done this before....here is where I'm out of the loop...how does this work? I get that I down load this cute template, but what kind of paper do I print it on to? Thanks, Amy
Hi Amy - you can print it if you like. I'd print it on photo paper if you are putting the overlay on top of the photo. If you are using the overlay as a journaling block (another great option) I'd print it on cardstock.

Ali, thank you. I am in the process ofr learning hopw to use PSE9. I want to use your overlays but I need to practice downloading - Finding where it went and then how to use it. Your tutorials and videos help a lot. Thanks again
Hi Pat! I almost always download onto my desktop and then move it to an external hard-drive. I like to know where it goes initially :).
