My favorite gift for Mother's Day are Skype video calls from my two sons and their families - they both live on the west coast and I'm in western NY!

I love giving my moms (close to 90) a homemade dinner with a decadent dessert and time to chat. I love receiving same and time to ride my bike to Starbucks +/or scrapbook-time gift. Though I've been known to leave hints of wanting a mini-album from my boys.

I usually give my mother-in-law a outdoor plant for her deck for Mother's Day and she has us over for dinner. She's the best!

For Mother's Day, I love flowers (to give and receive) and getting something handmade or handwritten. It truly is the best treasure in the world.

My favorite thing to receive on Mother's Day is what I have received every year for my 18 years of motherhood: Dd and dh go to the same local nursery, buy me a hanging fern and another potted plant, and I enjoy them on our deck all summer long. More importantly, the two of them have a great day together and THAT makes me smile!

    Thanks, Ali!

My favorite thing to recieve on Mother's Day is anything that my girls and husband sit down to make me. Every year they do this, and its never the same thing. One year they made me a shirt with their handprints all over it, and last year my oldest picked me out some sand art bottles that they made. I just love having them all get together and take the the time to make me something that truly comes from their hearts.

My son is 41 and still wants me to be with him on Mother's Day. He buys me flowers and spoils me. I am so proud of him--a great father with 3 boys of his own

My favorite thing is whatever my daughters cook up for us to do together. Sometimes they take me shopping and to lunch, or to movie and dinner, or to a concert. They set aside TIME for me where it's just the 3 of us doing something I love to do.

My boys always make me feel special. I love the special cards they pick out for me (they used to make them when they were little). I just enjoy them hanging out with me. We usually have a homemade dinner (they cook!). I think my very favorite thing is the little picture session we always have - just me and my boys (and now a daughter-in-law). Precious memories.
