GIVEAWAY | Two people will each receive a spot in the Up & Running Summer 5K Beginners Course, which starts on 13 June.

Up & Running provides unique online running classes for women. If you've always thought running was reserved for sporty types with bouncing ponytails, we're here to help you discover that running is for everyone. Our 5K Beginners Course is not the usual boring "walk 5 mins, run 5 minutes" program. We offer expert coaching from renowned coach Julia Jones, unlimited support from our community forums, and a mind and body approach that has been tried and tested with thousands of women around the world. Whether you've dabbled in running before or completely new to exercise, we'll not only help you start running safely, we'll get your mind in the right place too.

"Up & Running really has been the best thing I have done for myself in years, and not just for the running. My confidence and happiness in my own skin has increased so much and I love what my body can DO, rather than obsessing about what it looks like."
- Philippa, UK, Spring 5K course

My momma taught me that I was a "keeper." She completely believes in me - no matter what - all the time. I believed her, and that confidence has been an incredible gift.

My mom is the best! She always has a heart for others. She is such an encourager! She sends cards via snail mail, calls people as well as cooking meals or a homemade goodie (cinnamon rolls are a favorite) to make someone's day. She always puts other first! She is so selfless. She is truly an inspiration....Her name....Rosia Lee Weber!

Thanks for the chance to win. Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

My mum told me this one that she got from her own mother:
"What every woman needs most is another woman"
It's so true - we can't do without our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and neighbours. When you're up against it at times in your life it's usually another woman who comes to the rescue, and when you can offer help to someone else, do it.

My mother taught me that before you marry someone you should be involved in their life for at least a year - all four seasons... I waited 11 years - seems to have been good advice :)

My mom always showed me to work hard and not be lazy. When I am lazy, I think of her! Just get the job done!

Two things my Mom firmly believed in and passed on to me - 1) you should never rely on a man to meet your needs. She was big on self-sufficiency. That didn't stop her from being happily married her second go-round. and 2) you can do anything you put your mind to.

My mom always quoted the Bible when it came to life lessons.
Number one being, Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul and mind. I thank you for allowing me this time to remember things that were important to my mom. She has been gone from this earth for 20 years, this year. I miss her, and the inspiration she was to my life.
    Happy Mothers Day!!!

My mom gave me lots of advice over the years, but I think her best was "Never go to bed angry with your spouse." She's been gone ten years now, free of pain to be sure, but I miss her every day.

My mom used to tell me, "Kindness is always in style." When my now husband and I first started talking he told me that the first thing that sttracted him to me was my kindness towards him.

My mother was always very big on my sisters and I being our own people - "if XYZ jumped off a cliff would you do it..". In our teenage years clearly the cliff was the best option! I am an individual as a result of this though. My one regret is my Mum died before I started my family. She would really have enjoyed my little girl.

My mom taught me to always be nice. She didn't just say it with words, but she lived it true in real life. She always has a kind word to say. She is an incredible mother/grandmother and example of how to live life to her children and grandchildren. I love you Mom! xoxo

My mom is the most patient person I know. She always taught me
that this too shall pass. If it was something bad or sad, it would pass, and the good things go quickly so you need to enjoy life every moment. She got her driver's license at age 67 and her ears pierced for her 76th birthday. She's still enjoying every minute!

My mom taught me that life will pass you by if you do not grab it and live it to the fullest. Life is very short and you need to fully experience every moment of it...good or bad.

My mother fostered a love of the creative in me- she was always willing to try new projects with me and my sister when we were growing up, and she still does all these years later!

My mother is 94 years old and she is the most amazing and positive woman. She has many wonderful words of wisdom, but the greatest words she ever spoke to me were while sitting with her one day in the ICU of a hospital waiting for word on my sister who was already battling cancer and had now been hit by a drunk driver. As my mother sat quietly in thought, I asked her if she was worried and these were the powerful words she spoke, "I never worry. If you have time to worry, then you have time to PRAY"...............words to live by.
