GIVEAWAY | Two people will each receive a spot in the Up & Running Summer 5K Beginners Course, which starts on 13 June.

Up & Running provides unique online running classes for women. If you've always thought running was reserved for sporty types with bouncing ponytails, we're here to help you discover that running is for everyone. Our 5K Beginners Course is not the usual boring "walk 5 mins, run 5 minutes" program. We offer expert coaching from renowned coach Julia Jones, unlimited support from our community forums, and a mind and body approach that has been tried and tested with thousands of women around the world. Whether you've dabbled in running before or completely new to exercise, we'll not only help you start running safely, we'll get your mind in the right place too.

"Up & Running really has been the best thing I have done for myself in years, and not just for the running. My confidence and happiness in my own skin has increased so much and I love what my body can DO, rather than obsessing about what it looks like."
- Philippa, UK, Spring 5K course

My mom taught me to clean up the kitchen right after supper so it was DONE. My family doesn't always like this guideline, but it's nice to not have the dishes staring in my face for hours.

Would love to take an online summer class :)

My mom has taught me so much. One of the things that stick to my mind all the time are the words that she says to me over and over again that family is the most important and that all the work to make it a good one is all so worth it.

My mom always seemed to find something to be happy about no matter what was going on. I carry that tradition on in my family and I see evidence in my son that her legacy will continue. Happy Mother's Day! and thanks for the chance to win.

My mom and I both loved making music. We learned how to play the organ, she as an adult, me as a teenager. I can remember many concert nights with other music making friends over to play and/or sing a long. One of my many paths into creativity.

My mom taught me by example not to engage in gossip and nasty talk about other people. I never heard her say a bad word about anyone. I love that about her. Happy Mother's Day, Ali!

2 things that have always stuck with me from my mom were Family is the most important thing and Don't worry about what others think - if they love you they will think you are great and if they don't they aren't worth worrying about.

    Happy Mother's Day!
    Thanks

My mom taught me many things but the first thing that comes to mind is "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". This has saved me more times than I can remember! She's been gone for many years now but she's in my heart always!

My mom always told me to "treat people the way I want them to treat me" and I have lived that all my life, not always with good results.

My mother served with the WACS in England and France during World War II and after returning to the US she earned her pilots's license. This sense of adventure and following your heart has long been an inspiration to me.

I would always ask my mom, "How do you do all that you do?" Her reply, "You do what you have to do!" I have always referenced that phrase when I need to get through something I'm not so fond of doing. It has kept me going and helped me finish well!

Manners, my mother taught me to have manners. If you hold yourself like a lady you will feel strong and confident. At 83 she still eludes that quality in all she does. My children understand the need for manners as it shows in their politeness and curtsey towards others.

A life lesson my mom taught me is that "tone" matters - how you talk, all the way down to your tone makes a difference to people around you. My mom taught me SO many life lessons and I am so very grateful to have her, even today, so that she can continue to be a woman of influence in not only my life - but the life of my children.
