Life Is Good | Scrapbook Layout
Tags:Today I'm sharing a recent layout I did for Nichol Magourik's free Scrapbook Stamping class at Two Peas In A Bucket. The topic for July is using stamps to create backgrounds for layouts.
Here's a look at the full page:
An easy technique to draw a bit of attention to one of the stamped phrases is to change the color of the ink. Super simple and a cool way to use some of those text stamps you might have in your stash. I used the Life Is Good stamp from my Ordinary Days stamp set (Two Peas | Scrapbook.com) to create the repeated text pattern. The "wonderfully ordinary average day" stamp is also included in that set.
JOURNALING | Dear Sweet Anna Girl - today I want to celebrate you and all the awesomeness that you are. The little moments have always been my favorite and it's no different when I look at you. Seeing you enjoy life...seeing you navigate being two...seeing you grow and talk and and sing and draw and swim and play - all things I love so very much. Life is good with you baby girl. You are happy and silly and we love you so very much. Right now I'm really looking forward to summer with you. So much love to you Anna....love Mom.

Beautiful layout Ali! I'm wondering how you choose which ink pads you use. I'm just getting into stamping (using your Tech. Tues. subscription) and I've been using a black staz on pad, but would like to branch out to color. Do you have any guidelines when choosing which brand/type? Thanks in advance for helping with this.
And I am praying for Lily. Dogs are so so precious!! :)

Hi Martha - I don't have any specific guidelines. Right now I've been really happy with the Jenni Bowlin inks, Tim Holtz' distress inks, the chalk inks from ColorBox, and Close To My Heart.
I have exactly one set of colored ink pads so I am no expert at all - but I love the ones I have! It's a ColorBox Cat's Eye Queue with 6 little pads in a wonderful range of pinks and reds and I love that the colors look really great together. Hope this helps!

Ali,
I'm wondering how you are liking the Copic marker? I know you've been a big fan of the AC pens in the past. Thanks.

I like them - the Copic Multiliners - I've been using both (whichever one I grab).

Love!! Does anyone know if the Ordinary Day stamp is part of the monthly Technique Tuesday subscription? Doesn't appear to be - but don't want to buy it and have it be August's stamp!!
Thinking of your family, Ali. Hugs.

This is so precious and perfect colors for Miss Anna. I was hoping you would have a layout with her photo in the tutu for us. This is just darling and shows so much love you have for her. Thanks for sharing this.
It was so nice to have a happy post to go along with your sad post today. I made sure to read the sad then this beautiful one just to make me smile.
