Thanks Scrapbooks Etc & Halloween MiniBook Project Class

I wanted to say a big thanks to Scrapbooks Etc for including my Halloween mini-book in their October 2011 issue. One of the things I really love about Scrapbooks Etc is how they include really big photos of 2-page layouts - it's awesome to be able to see the content that much better.

If you're interested in learning more about putting a Halloween minibook like this together I've got a downloadable project class available here. This is a great way to deal with photos you might have from Halloween's past or may be a great way to deal with your photos this year. Techniques include: painting, gel medium/mod podge, hand-drawing elements, choosing which photos to use & cropping to fit album, machine stitching (even though I’ve got a bit on just about every page it’s still very optional).

This self-paced workshop includes:

  • 18 page, full-color PDF with step by step instructions and images of all pages in the album

  • Six videos of the project coming together with additional tips and instruction - the video tutorials are really great especially for beginners in that you can see exactly what I’m doing as I put this album together.

PLEASE NOTE | This class originally debuted last fall so some of the exact products I used are no longer available (or more challenging to locate). You can download the supply list before purchasing the class from this page.

Wow...I just saw this last week while we were traveling and I was in B&N and just loved it! Halloween is my mom's birthday so I'm real partial and 31 and 13 are our favorite/significant numbers. Just downloaded it...real deal this class for $14.00 if you ask me ;} Can't wait to get started and hopefully get one done for my mom's birthday this year. Fondly, Roberta

Ali - i don't scrap many themed layouts so this mini was a perfect solution to get those holiday photos into one place. i loved this class, the tutorials, and your completed album.

Will you be coming out with additional self paced classes?

I bought this class a few months ago and plan on completing my album later this year. The content of this class is full especially the videos. If you are looking for an intro to mini albums or are a seasoned pro this class is suited for all abilities.
I was able to fine some of the supplies on eBay but all the with new Halloween lines out it should be easy to adapt this mini album with current products.

I'll have to check it out at the store. I had to cut out my magazines for a while. But I'm sure it's awesome!

I picked up the magazine today! Thank you for letting us know.

Also... I have to tell you. "You" are part of my everyday morning routine. After checking my email in the morning I need to get my fix for the day by checking out your blog. Thank you so much!
Tonight I decided to go back in time, to your Dec 2007 blog posting and start reading from there. I can't not wait to get more & more inspirations for my scrapbooks and life.
    Thank you again Ali!!
