At Our House | Halloween
At our house one boy really wanted to create this drawing to hang on our front door to let everyone know there was a pirate here.
At our house the same group came together again this year, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, friends.
At our house we made this chili for the second year in a row and it was just as good as the first time.
At our house the adults get dressed up too. I was inspired by a costume I saw in Martha's special Halloween issue: Little Miss Monstrous (designed as a kids costume that I modified for an adult body).
At our house the best house on the block (at least what I saw in during my brief outing) was this real guy sitting holding a bowl of candy. He didn't try to scare the littlest kids but I bet he was a total hit with the older ones.
At our house Dorothy lasted about 10 houses before deciding it was too cold.
At our house there's one kid who really loves the candy and one who could really care less. Can you guess?
At our house Anna and Gabrielle ended up being the greeters, passing out candy to all who knocked on the front door (with support of course).
At our house we're thankful for the family that was able to travel to celebrate this fun, all-to-quick holiday together.
awesome as always Ali... we all dressed up this year too. Jake (same age as Anna) really got into the trick or treating and we managed to get through a lot in our time out. Love halloween.

Wow Ali- the photos tell a story of such fun shared by both adult and child- !!! Halloween is not so big here in Australia- we infact had no one knock on our door. Thanks so much for sharing your precious memories with us all.

I loved the photo of all the kids on the steps. And the adult looked great too. We were into our second day without power, so we only got a few kids before it got dark and no one ventured down our dark street or very dark driveway. We finally decided to go out to dinner to warm up. With all the snow we got it feels like we skipped fall and went straight to winter, so I enjoyed seeing your Halloween celebration. Thanks for sharing.

LOVE those pics! Cutest Dorothy I've ever seen! Nothing like holidays with the family! Your children are going to remember these memories for the rest of their lives! I grew up in a hone where everyone came over to our house for TOT and we have kept the tradition going even after we moved out and then continued it at my brother's...(my neighborhood is NOT Halloween friendly!)...and we enjoy it SO much! tfs brought back lost of great memories for me. :)

You, your husband and your children are incredible people to share your lives with such generosity of spirit. I love your professional style and your down-to-earth family style. Bless you all and may we all be so lucky as to (vicariously) continue to share in your lives. Halloween with you helps us carve memories into our own families. Love Simon as a pirate!

This is so far removed from anything that happens in Australia that it is just so much fun to see what you get up to.

Thank you for sharing the Halloween photos. We were caught up in Storm Alfred & Halloween was basically canceled. The kids got a few streets to trick or treat last night but it just wasn't the same. The kids have the memories of making a snowman & no school for a week to remember this year's Halloween. Yours looked beautiful & the costumes were fantastic.
