Project Life | Week Forty-Seven

Welcome to Project Life | Week Forty-Seven.

First up this week I wanted to let you know that Becky invited me to be a part of her Creative Team which is pretty cool. As you can tell, I'm a big fan of this project and am looking forward to continuing to share my layouts here throughout 2012.

I'll be keeping up with Project Life throughout December even as my focus shifts to December Daily. Lots of stories and things to record over the next month - more than enough to keep both projects going.

I should have written something about how crazy I felt at the beginning of the week. Might go back in and add that - it was just a crazy-before Thanksgiving rush.

And yep, it took us 7 hours to drive to our destination (and it usually takes 4.5 - the traffic was insane).

White pen on the bottom left photo is a Sharpie Poster Paint Pen.

Lots of word phrase stickers on top of photos this week. I want to get a basket together (a la Lisa Trusdell) to keep those products I'm finding myself use most super accessible.

Anna's sweet little hand turkey. Love. He gets a page protector all by himself (I cut a few inches off the top of the page protector).

My sister-in-law sent out an email with the food details for the extended weekend. She's a good planner.

This is a sheet that came home with Simon from school that has the names of kids in his class in their own handwriting. A fun 4th grade memory.

A couple photos of Lucy and Anna and some words about their antics.

I like the idea of pulling out specific numbers to use from time to time - like the "7" and the "4.5" this week. It's a nice graphic addition highlighting a piece of the story.

Love the turkey--we have the same one on the fridge right now. It's definitely going in PL because I can't resist saving anything that shows their growing hands!

SEVEN hours in the car with two kids?! Awesome. One of my favorite things about this project is having a place to tuck that sweet little turkey and other art my son brings home from preschool.

For Ali's Canadian fans, here is a Canadian consultant:

Denise (from Ali's link) was kind enough to send me Brandy;s information as I love the cork numbers!! Both she and Brandy were incredibly helpful!!

As usual more great pages to inspire me. Thank you so much. But, have you noticed that a mention in your blog can create a supply shortage? Hmmm... Guess I'm going to have to get really creative.

thanks for the project life inspiration!! I finally got the photos up of my pl and I've been able to keep up with it for 8 weeks now. You've been perfect inspiration. The only thing I've had issues with is finding stickers to put on photos to be able to date and journal. I've been trying to shop locally, but I may need to check your links online!! Thanks Ali :)

Love seeing a glimpse into your life each week! I bought PL but have fallen off the wagon over time. Love how you journal straight on your pictures and I love Sharpies! I find myself going into Office Depot just buying random colors just to increase my selection! Will that Sharpie Paint not ruin your picture? I will have to grab some of those next time. Happy Holidays to you!!!

Really love all of your PL layouts. Its great that you will be on Becky's team. This has been my first year with PL and I'm planning on doing it again in '12. I plan on doing a weekly recap as you have been doing instead of one picture each day. Thanks for the inspiration.

Just found this cute little tech printer - perfect for Project Life!!
It is brand new and I know that you Ali and the rest of folks who blog, scrapbook, etc will probably be all over this gadget!!
It is a mini printer that prints out receipt size info like news, posts from blog, twitter updates, etc.

Hi Ali - looks like you all enjoyed a great Thanksgiving (that's what it's all about, right?)! Just wanted to say hi and tell you that I so look forward to seeing your PL each week. I feel sorta funny saying that, since I'm not posting my own and probably won't next year on a consistent basis, but you've helped me see this is totally do-able and I'm so happy I've stuck with the project in 2011. I'm doing a 8.5x11 album with one 9-up page protector each week next year. Making my own week # cards w/the dates. Great way to use on-hand supplies! I found I was most into collecting pieces of paper this year and using my mini instax for photos, so I think this smaller format will be a better fit for me. What I most love is the "equalization" of memories/stories with this format. Looking back, a trip to the grocery story is just as worthy as going to Italy. So cool! Thanks for your inspiration. . .and tomorrow is Dec 1 (I started on Nov 25 and am already a bit behind ;)

When I saw the photo of Lucy it reminded me so much of a photo of you when you were young. I think you shared it in your Yesterday & Today course. Can you see a resemblance?

    Ali,

I love your project life book and daily album for December. You are so very talented! I would love to try to do the project life book for 2012, but am a BEGINNER. I get a bit overwhelmed when I see your book by the detail and also imagining the cost of all the supplies. I am wondering if you have a BASIC BEGINNER list of what is needed to start. I need a starting point and could use the help. If it is already on your blog somewhere can you point me to it? Sorry to leave this in your comment section, but I would love the help! Thank you!!

[...] Ali Edwards announced this week that she is a part of the 2012 Project Life creative team. The team page shows nine crafters, all of whom will be sharing their Project Life albums on a regular basis in 2012. For those who participate, this looks like a great resource for encouragement and inspiration. [...]
