Welcome to the 2012 Hero Arts Catalog Blog Hop!

GIVEAWAY | Three people will each receive three new stamps from Hero Arts new 2012 catalog.

Here's two of the three sets of stamps that I'll be giving away:

Also, Hero Arts will also be giving away five prize packs that include brand new 2012 Catalog stamps. The five winners will be randomly chosen from ALL of the blog hop comments received by midnight PST on Monday, December 12, and will be announced on the Hero Arts blog shortly thereafter.

All the new stamps will be available on December 10th. Check out HeroArts.com for a store near you.

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME HERE, WELCOME! Normally a process post like this would happen over on my Projects blog but since this one includes a giveaway it's happening here (and there's lots of December Daily goodness happening over there). If you'd like to learn more about my site check out my Welcome or About Ali pages.

Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:

Hello zig zag!

I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.

Here's a look at my process:

I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.

I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.

I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.

Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.

And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.

"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.

For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.

Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

I like watching all the classic kids tv specials. It's changed a little now that they are on DVD but I still enjoy sharing them with my kids.

Ok. Love these. My favorite tradition is getting our tree. We cut a fresh tree from a family run farm. We've gone for years and despite all the customers they get, they remember us every year. It's so fun and a beautiful place.

These are AWESOME!! My favorite holiday tradition is that every Christmas Eve, we give all the kids new PJs. They love that they get to open one gift (even though by now they know what it is...), and I love that they look good in our Christmas morning photos!

We tried something new this year and I can definitely see it becoming a tradition: the Elf on the Shelf. I love watching my son excitedly run around in the morning looking for the elf and witnessing the magic of believing!

My favorite tradition is the way we open our stockings- we compare our stockings to our lives being filled with the Holy Spirit and God so as we take out eah item (one at a time) we share how it relates to our relationship with God or His work in our lives.

Great giveaways! Thanks for the chance to win.

My favorite tradition is putting the ornaments on the tree. The lights and garland are a pain but it pays off when our teenage boys faces light up as they select certain ornaments that they remember and like. It is a great afternoon activity that I look forward to every December.

Beautiful layout! Our favorite tradition is taking a drive around the neighborhood and dropping off cookies at all our friends, the kids friends and their teachers. Then we all go to starbucks and have coffee and hot chocolate, it's a great evening and the kids feel so good when they give out the cookies that they baked themselves.

My favorite tradition: family Christmas tree decorating. Oh, and we always make pizza for dinner on Christmas day (started when I was a wee thing, so that my mom had time to play with us and our toys, rather than cooking all day!)

One of my favorites is turning off all the lights except the Christmas tree & just sitting looking at the tree. Sitting with my hubby is even better! Thanks for opportunity to win fun products & have a blessed weekend.

a tradition I've loved since visiting Germany as a child, is to make a greenery wreath. This year it's made from "fynbos" heathers!
