One Little Word 2012 | Class Registration Now Open

Throughout all of 2011 I've been conducting a class over at Big Picture Classes called One Little Word.

It's been such a good experience for me personally and I'm excited to move forward with the same format, and my new word, for 2012.

THE BASICS | After registering you'll receive an email reminder at the beginning of each month to come to the classroom for a video presentation and a creative prompt (writing, photography, and a bit of craft). The class and the prompts are not meant to take a lot of time, the whole goal is to help keep your word visible for you throughout the year.

FOR ALUMNI | If you were in the class this year (2011) and are interested in taking it again you should have received an email (on 12/9) with a special offer for alumni. If you register for OLW2012 by December 31st you will receive Stacy Julian's Finish Line Scrapbooking self-paced class ($12 value) free**. The code for the free class is olwalumni (you need to register for OLW2012 before the code will work). P.S. If you’re already registered for Finish Line Scrapbooking, please email admin@bigpictureclasses.com for an alternate free class!

FOR NEW STUDENTS | Register by December 31st and be entered in a random drawing. Big Picture will be selecting 10 students who will be featured on my blog along with their word in January.

**Disclaimer: This coupon only applies to the "Finish Line Scrapbooking" Self-Paced class; coupon does not apply towards other Self-Paced Classes, Workshops, Products or Gift Certificates. Offer will only work for students who have enrolled in both One Little Word 2011 and One Little Word 2012. Expires January 15th 2011 at 10:00pm PST. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Coupon must be entered in the "Promo Code" box during checkout and press "apply" button; discount will be applied immediately. Not applicable towards previous purchases. Other terms and restrictions may apply.

Is this year's OLW class going to be a repeat of 2011's? Or will there be new elements included?

I really enjoyed this year's workshop!

Hi Karen - the prompts will be the same but all the handouts, videos, presentations, etc will be updated to reflect a new experience with new words. I wanted to have the experience of doing the same prompts with a new word (a foundation was created so let's experience them again with a new word).

      Thanks, Ali!

I'm trying to get on th BPC site now, but it won't load for me. I'll try another computer in a little bit, to see if it's an issue on my end.

I have chosen a word each year for the last three years, but this year is my first taking your class. I have chosen "healthy" this year. I think sometimes I spend so much time running around to work, my kids' activities, and just general errands, that I forget to think about my health. I am turning forty in 2012, and I want to be as healthy as I can be by the time my birthday rolls around in October!

I, too, think about what you are going through, Ali. I am happy to say that you can have a positive relationship with Chris, but, more importantly, you will be so much stronger after getting through this time of your life. I went through a divorce three years ago, and I focused on my olw, courage, a lot to get me through it.

I am signed up for ONE LITTLE WORD this year. Haven't settled on my word. How do you print the title page and not have the hash marks in the corners? Thanks for any help.

Hi Glenna - the hash marks are cutting guides. If you print the PNG file there are no cutting guides.

Hi, I'm interested in participating, but cannot purchase a registration at the moment. So I'm gonna try to use your idea on my own for the year. I've decided that "kindness" will be my 2012 word. I'm very happy to know about this altogether, thank you!

    Thanks!
