My Mom and I are hard at work making a major change to my office here at home.
After soliciting suggestions on Facebook and checking out all the different whites I’m using Benjamin Moore’s Decorator White.
Goodbye yellow office. Bring on the white paint.
Have fun. It always is so refreshing to have a new coat of paint on a wall!
The white looks great and you can even make paint tin photographs look artistic!
I just painted my office/craft room earlier this month. It feels so good to get a new color on the walls and rearrange some of the wall hangings. It was the first time I ever painted a room from start to finish by myself. Enjoy!

I had the same thought as we just finished our downstairs family room in yellow. I love it though! We are using tangerine and red and brights…it feels so alive! Change is GOOD!!

Go Ali! I think you will find your space will feel bigger and brighter with the white paint. I went from a wood paneled 3rd fl room with sloped ceilings to a much smaller room but with two windows on the 2nd floor of our house and painted it the palest blush pink with pale grey trim…it’s luminescent in the morning light !

I love the Decorator White from Benjamin Moore. My whole house is done in some sort of Benjamin Moore colors! LOVE them. Hope you enjoy the white. I have it in one of my bathrooms and it is truely a lovely crisp white.Have fun painting!!!

Hope you love it! Our entire house is BM Decorator’s White and I couldn’t be happier with it. Makes everything feel so bright and fresh and new (a hard task in my 100 year old home!).

It’s been crazy to see just how dark of a yellow it was contrasted with the new white paint. It was getting hard to see the correct colors on my projects because of the overall yellow hue in the room.

Ugh! I don’t like to paint. But I like to have a fresh room. Have fun. I can see why you want the change. I had a bright yellow room once and liked it because it drew the light. Never thought about what it did to my color choosing for projects.

Fresh coat of paint is always nice but why did you go with white?
I love white. It’s a nice crisp blank canvas for a room – but especially because it’s a darker room (windows at one end) and I’m hoping this will brighten the space. The yellow made everything in the room have a yellow cast – hard to see what were the true colors of the things I work with everyday (papers, patterns, etc).
Love freshly painted room..like brand new! I just am too impatient to paint! lol Can’t wait to see the after photos!

I love the color white. I just bought a new coffee cup at Starbucks because it was so simple and white with a yellow inside! So happy feeling.
saw this same cup, picked it up and looked at the hubby and said “LOVE this cup! It’s so clean looking!”

It’s a good color. My personal favorite white from BM is “Ballet White”. We painted half our house that colour (coming from a designer and pro painter hubby/wife team). Have fun! I love white rooms!!

I want green walls with white everything else – but I’ve heard people in hell want ice water…. We no longer paint ourselves, we pay someone, someone I grew up with who has workers…. New subject: Just read Mapping Charlie by Jane Meyerdling (I think that’s the correct spelling, definitely the correct title), mystery, protagonist is an autistic woman with face blindness who works at a University in the Pacific Northwest — just like the author! It seems to me she nails some of the social anxiety of people on “the spectrum” as we say in our house. I do love a good mystery!

White is such an open an fresh color… great choice for your space to look up, shake things up, make things up (but in a good way) and of course start up…
Just cannot go wrong with white. What type of finish did you go with? Matte or eggshell? I had an insanely difficult time deciding on wall color and lighting for my design studio/office when we moved into our new home a couple years ago. Drove my husband totally nuts. May I ask what type of light bulbs you use in your office? Thanks!

Selfishly I can’t wait to see how you decorate your office with white walls. I live in an apartment with white walls and am not allowed to paint. I always feel so limited with white walls. Maybe you won’t do much different? I still can’t wait to see it!
I love white too, but be sure to sneak a little yellow back in somewhere. The famous and probably the first woman decorator, Elsie de Wolfe said to always have a bit of sunshime in every room by adding yellow somewhere. What a fresh start to a new year.

Oh, that sounds like fun! I always love painting rooms with my mom. We have such a good time chatting and such a wonderful sense of satisfaction afterwards.

We painted our basement bedroom BM’s Cloud White and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I put in a flush mount Debbie Travis light fixture that has faux crystals in 2 clean rows around it and it is just what I needed to soften the starkness of the white. Enjoy getting to know your new fresh space. Remember, furnature can easily be painted too. Maybe Robin’s egg lockers are next? Go with your UP feeling and create a work space that lifts you. I LOVE decorating projects with my Mom. She is a big supporter of fresh starts.
